serious question...what could they do that would pull more cars? getting less than 10 every week won't cut it....That would be outstanding if there is any truth to the rumor! Id be back to support it if they run SS!

Actually, the car counts were decent except for the SS and PS divisions; unfortunately the weekly costs to run those divisions and compete is comparable to the cost to run the higher divisions minus the annual maintenance expenses. When you choose to race those classes you need to be prepared to pour a lot of money into your racing program to win a fraction of the higher divisions.
No tire limitations, no true engine power limitations, no suspension limitations have put those divisions in a no "win" situation, either you spend or you follow.
This is just my opinion.
Finally ! Someone has hit the nail on the head ! Us budget racers can't afford a no limit on motor and suspension class. That's why when the front wheel drive class first started they had 100. Of those alone! Then like dumb asses,no one put a claim limit on them. Ppl allowed $5,000. Motors and now no one even runs those any more. Tracks need to realize who the average racer and fan is. Its the working Joe. With a gear head,who wants to race as a hobby. Not their fortune 500. Tax write off. Give us an affordable class to run in where we don't need a $20,000. Motor and we will come.

But then again who in their right mind would ever think buying and operating a track these days would be a smart business move???
Someone who is crazy successful in their other business ventures and need a part of the portfolio that shows a loss for tax pruposes?!?!
Read: Force Inc.
Get in on the ground floor while reaping the tax benefits and when the economy turns around you're potentially sitting on a cash cow.
Even in its current configuration, that place can turn a profit if operated and marketed properly, but clearly that's not as easy as it sounds, or more people would be doing it.

Lol. And I suppose he's going to run Fridays to put Lernerville out of business too, right?

no they already got mckean for another 5 years. so many guys hate the tire rules at lernerville, and with a bunch of other tracks closing they can pull those cars in. dog hollow had better car count in lates than lernerville did already, combine that with $2k to win, and the cars (and fans) will be there.

Not to mention you can also watch six other support divisions, including two divisions each of stock cars and 4 cylinders, for a dollar less than Lernerville's grandstand admission.no they already got mckean for another 5 years. so many guys hate the tire rules at lernerville, and with a bunch of other tracks closing they can pull those cars in. dog hollow had better car count in lates than lernerville did already, combine that with $2k to win, and the cars (and fans) will be there.

Why would they want another Friday night track when they already have one that pays great purses and can't pull but ten cars a week? They'd be cutting off their nose to spite their face.
Now, if they ran Sundays they might something great on their hands....
