What a shithole that place was tonight, lots of carnage in the late model feature, Garvin got screwed IMO, then it looked like Miley had it in the bag till something broke
On the RF... The track has been terrible every night for over a month now, WTF are they doing?
Great track, no dust and fast racing. congrats to the track crew, 2 weeks in a row track was nice!

Completely agree. The speeds were back in racing and the racing itself was very good. The drivers just lost their minds when they go that fast. The late models usually have carnage, no matter the track. Sprint race was fantastic and so was the modified and sportsman race. Better than that follow the leader shit.

We had a ton of rain last week,I live about 2 miles north of track and still can't mow my back yard because its so wet.
You bitch when it's dusty, then bitch when it's fast and wet, shut up and enjoy the racing you have!
When Mr.Martin was here,it was fast and wet and rough also,so don't just go and blame the current management for everything that you think is wrong. Its a DIRT track, not asphalt track.
You have to remember also it was last night for points. So of course drivers are giving it their all to advance in position as im sure they will get a few bucks more. The lates wont be back till oct, so yea i expected the guys to want that one last win for the year there.

Exactly!!
I remember many a nights when the late great Don Martin was still at the helm that you could tell who was at Lernerville the night before because their vehicles were covered with a thick layer of red dust. I also remember many nights when the track was so heavy and rough that there would literally be tons of clay laying in the pits at the end of the night from being scraped off the cars and teams pounding out body panels all night long.
My guess is some on here will not be happy till Lernerville is a distant memory....

I agree. I sure do miss those days. Best racing ever. It would take this kind of consistant track prep to even bring todays Lernerville close to what it was in the past. You never heard Lou Blaney bitch about the track being fast and a little rough. Those drivers were the greatest and put on the best shows.

It would also take lightening up of EPA regulations!
And that kind of track is great for the fans and the guys that win, but brutal for most of the drivers. Lots of torn up stuff last night, not good for guys on a budget and that's a very, very large majority of them!

Because the drivers cant drive the track. LOL Every says about how it takes so much more talent to drive on a slick track. How about at speeds twice that and even more on the edge?? A rough cushion and a track you need to drive hard but patient too. I think that takes a buttload of talent! Heres what i dont think people understand. Back in the old days, the track was prepared well and there was great racing. They KNEW how to drive the track and they could race without tearing up equipment. GRANTED, the drivers were much different. HOWEVER, today, we usually dont see a well prepared track and the racing usually just isnt that good. Thats why when we get a fast track, people cant drive it.
I know you will insert one of your smart ass comments, but it is MY OPINION that if the track would begin to be prepared well on a consistent basis, similar to the past month, the racing level would increase and drivers would learn to compensate. The talent level would rise and the "back of the packers" and "trouble makers" would be limited to b-mains or not even making shows. Then, in turn, that also makes less cautions and wrecks.
Finally, it was mentioned on this board already but i feel as if its gone over peoples heads. It was the last points night. There is a lot on the line for almost every driver, even if its not in contention for the title. Wrecks will happen on ANY type of surface on the last night of points. Just a proven fact. Haha
