After the Lynch debacle. The Pegher/Garvin wreck. And the Flick/Sanders incident. Im wondering who makes these calls...? They dont seem to be consistent and tend to show some favoritism at certain times. I feel as if they need to do something similar to the larger Asphalt Speedways in New York where they have flagmen in each corner and down each straightway to be able to make a call. One man trying to make calls with a field of 20+ cars is going to get it wrong quite often

What do you mean the calls were inconsistent? Then the exact same call was made on both Pegher and Flick. Neither looked blatantly intentional or malicious, but the contact resulted in a caution so both were sent to the tail. How exactly is that inconsistent? Fosnaught, who is buddies with Gary was sent to the tail a week or so ago for rough driving with Bob Egley. Better yet, at what point this year did a driver spin out a competitor and not get sent to the tail?

Lynch was sent to the tail because the crew came onto the track during a yellow flag and then DQed when his crazy old man took a swing at a track official. They DQed a sure fire Hall of Famer in the all time sprint wins leader, the prodigal son that represents the track at Knoxville and the World Finals every year and almost had to have a second class Hall of Famer arrested.

The sent the #1 Cochran car owned by another sure fire Hall of Famer in Lynn Geisler and the "third generation" golden boy to the tail for taking out a nobody from ohio. How is that playing favorites? If anything, they are going out of their way NOT to be playing favorites.

It's virtually impossible for a flag man or race director to interpret intent, so you take all the gray area out by sending a guy to the tail if the contact he initiates results in the other guy spinning out and bringing out a caution. Shit, maybe Marion Center and FASTcrap should take a lesson in decisiveness and impartiality!

But you've had a hard on for the track crew and management all year, so maybe you're not the most objective voice of the board!

I understand your ideas on the favoritism. That does make some sense. But by "eliminating the gray area" and sending people to the back immediately, it also completely eliminates the entire idea of a racing incident. Pegher and Flick were racing hard and simply got the short end of the stick for screws ups by the drivers in front of them. Hence, the racing accident. I, also, do not believe that either contact was intentional. But where is the line drawn? I have seen drivers wreck others this year with what seems like more intent than what Friday night showed. And nothing was called...? Why start on the last night?

But i appreciate you showing interest in my posts!!!

When hasn't a driver been penalized for turning another? As in specific examples, not vague references . . . Not being a d!ck, just curious

I agree with rusty nuts. Anyone that has a half a brain and watched what you call Golden Boy, Flick race all year knows he respects others and trys his hardest to be clean and not touch other cars. And your right, he is a third generation driver. With that being said, his Grandfather and father were the same respectable drivers in there time. I don't know what race you were watching, but when Sanders hooked the cushion and had to check up, AJ was entering turn 3 carrying a lot of momentum and unfortunately got Into Sanders. It was a racing deal and by no means intentional. So yeah your so called " golden boy" was in a championship battle, driving hard to do the best he could and had a racing accident, but to me, to be put to the back for it was bullshit. But it didn't really matter cause the golden boy drove his ass off with five to go and still got second ALL WHILE DOING IT CLEAN AND RESPECTABLE! Carry on bleacher creature!

I agree 110% and you made my argument for me. I wasn't saying AJ was wrong, he got hosed plain and simple, I was simply refuting somebody elses claim that they were playing favorites by the calls they made Friday. In the grand scheme of things, McPherson is a Johnny Comelately, where as AJ has decades of history on his side and was in a position to make history, but they still sent him to the tail.
