how are you going to widen it? because on the back stretch is a drop off correct? and then you have the hill/grandstands on the front....not bashing...just curiousThey are bringing in 500 truck loads of fill to widen turns one and two. They are increasing the banking in one and two to match Three and four.

Drop off correct ? What do you think the 500 loads of fill are for, its not for filling in the valley behind the pits.how are you going to widen it? because on the back stretch is a drop off correct? and then you have the hill/grandstands on the front....not bashing...just curious
Scott as 4 the point $ think it is awesome Jeff even set that up I know it kind of makes it tight in march, butt he is doing this with all teams in mind for moving into the future and keeping the track alive. JMO

hey chuck. pr number 1 rule- never debate anyone on a message board. never gets you anywhere.I can not believe this.Jeff and America planned this for March for alot of reasons.First of all they thought that with all the fighting that went on this year between the drivers and crews that a cooling down period was needed.Second of all there is a lot of planning going into this banquet and thought that doing it in March rather than in October or November was more important. Those two months is when they are planning on removing the gaurdrail in turn two and the backstretch. They are bringing in 500 truck loads of fill to widen turns one and two. They are increasing the banking in one and two to match Three and four. They are removing all the track lights and relocating them plus adding 12 more Musco lights. They are drilling under the track for drainage to try and improve the water drainage. That will take all of October and November to get this work done.We never thought that drivers would be upset knowing all that we are planning is with them in mine.My suggestion would be use your money that you would start the season to get your car ready and use your point fund money to start the season.Remember there are only 3 guys doing all this work with some friends coming in from New Jersey to help out on the weekends. We are sorry that you are upset but everyone has an idea about how to run a racetrack. My suggestion would be to call the owners of the track to complain rather than bicthing on here.

are they planning on filling in the pond to then? because that would be weird shooting it out and then swerving it right back in to avoid the pond...like i said im just curiousDrop off correct ? What do you think the 500 loads of fill are for, its not for filling in the valley behind the pits.

Now no one was bit--- about anything, the first post asked a question? not complaining or otherwise, I responded not complaining or otherwise, then, the response comes out about the track work etc etc etc.
landowner improvements are not the responsibiloity of the persons using the establishment whether it be a restaurant or a speedway. The users of the facility contibuted to that point fund all season, through pit fees, fuel purchases, 50-50 tickets etc. any yes it is a very attractive point fund. It is more than your few hundred bucks assumption.
There are race teams that will use the point money to maintain or advance their race program; they do not have $80,000.00 and open resources to prepare for the start of the 2014 season.
WOW WOW WOW !!!! People really take bitching to a new
Level !! Having banquets after the first of the year is pretty standard for race tracks . Also this point fund money you say you need to rebuild your car .... How much are you expecting ???! I can't possibly see how a small track like that in the middle of no where is paying any more than a few hundred dollars at the very most to the champions !!! The dude is actually trying to improve the track and worthless toss offs like sunhoney bash him when she doesn't even have a car !! Sunhoney smoking every modifieds drivers hammer you see doesn't make your opinion any more relevant than any other mouth breathing smode booth operators opinion . Be happy the track is open and the guy is working to improve it

Many tracks pay nothing for a point fund . So they should be commended for that . You totally misunderstood what I was complaining about. Tyler county charged us 65.00 each for pit passes , canceled the event and kept the money !!! And to add insult to injury they didnt pay me the 250 they rightfully owed me from the first night of the event !! So I paid for pit passes to a race that never happened and wasn't paid what they owed for a race that did happen. And you are comparing that to a track owner making you wait a few months for point fund money that he isn't even obliagted to give you ??? I'm sorry but those are 2 completely seperate issuesAre you not the one that was whining moaning and groaning about a $100.00 show up and $150.00 tow fee for months?

Again, no one was complaining, it was a simple question asked. If you accept a payment or fee under the premise both written and verbalised, for a certain purpose, then it is obligated.
