I tried the ride along after the race. I would highly recommend it. It was well worth the $40. It gives you a new respect for these guys. The lap times were between 20.000 and 20.50 (95mph). It is a nice race track and it was a good night of racing.

I'm glad you enjoyed the ride! I have a great time and enjoy the opportunity Rob has given me to be one of the On Track drivers along with Ramey Womer. It's satisfying to see the smiling faces after the rides. Thanks again for coming and supporting CNB Bank Raceway Park!

When is the dirt street stock race in October? Also, will it be a day time race?

too cold for fans to come out, really ???? Hummingbird had a big crowd , do you think it was much warmer in Dubois ? i wish you guys all the luck in the world and i think it is great you have a place to go race but there was never much of a fan turnout at that track when it was paved .sorry just stating the facts but there were more fans at one dirt race over there than there has been at all the shows combined since it was turned back to pavement.

I wouldn't say the pavement never had big crowds. Some of the NASCAR north and modified shows packed the place. It always seemed to do well with specials. Another thing to consider, the place is huge. A packex hillside there is probably equal to an entire crowd at AMP or the Bird. Also, the grand stands seat many more than smaller facilities. I'm not suggesting that they are getting a lot of folks. Just pointing out that in years past their crowds were larger than you think. The place is big.

I'm pretty excited for the Keystone Open. In 1995 I won the Pure Stock Championship at CNB. We ran 8" tires then. My buddy Steve Weddles had a Hagerstown Semi-Late with a 406 in it. He bought a set of 10" asphalt slicks and we threw as much of a setup on it as seemed fit. I went out in the final practice and couldn't believe the power and handling (even though the three link and brake birdcages were a bit weird). After driving that car I knew I had to have a big tire Street Stock... With the power of today's dirt cars I think it's going to be a blast. ramey

I agree. There was by no stretch of the imagination a "LARGE" crowd there Saturday night, but a small crowd at CNB would look like a decent crowd at some of the smaller tracks. I would say the crowd on Saturday compared to what I saw at Thunder Mountain for some of their regular weekly shows. I can also remember some pretty light crowds at CPS when it ran weekly during the dirt days.

The racing was pretty good, it was great to see a bunch of the Motordrome teams come up and try out the place. The late models once again put on a good race! It's a shame that Russell and Fullone retired early, because I think both of them would have given Gault a good challenge. Webber was all over Gault in the first 50 laps, but wasn't as fast the second 50 laps. The racing for 3rd through 6th was really good as well!

I'm looking forward to the Keystone Open, I hope they can come up with a good payout that will bring a lot of the dirt teams in, it will be a really cool way to end the season!!!

Key will be to get it organized and finalized. Guys have to decide they are going, ask setup questions, and find tires. Can't just say, "keystone open is tomorrow" and expect a turnout.

Ya I was expecting to see some dirt late models run over there, that is what draws the fans in..

Mash the loud pedal.
