I mean it is open rules for the most part, but why limit ss guys to a 2bbl only and make them run a 44 or harder... highly doubt a lot of ss guys are going to go out and buy a good 2bbl and 44s just for this show.

I agree! Those 2 things just killed that show. Sounds like they want the local, weekly boys to take home the money.

It states ANY 2 bbl carb allowed and then later in the rules under fuel systems it states no aerosol carbs. I guess a 2 bbl aerosol is not allowed either.

Mercer is gonna get most of the stocks already anyhow. It's little guys. One of the biggest stock shows ofthe year. Mcr isn't trying to pull guys from that. Mcr is $300 to win each night. Mercer has 3 features Saturday $1500, $1000 and non q race for $300 to win. Most of the top stock teams will be at mercer regardless of mcr rules package.

Yup I'm a dick!!!

I understand this, but what I was getting at was why wait til 4 days before the show to change the rules format... why not state this rules package in the beginning. Just saying.

They didn't.. Faster1 just drives a stock and he was posting these off mcr website for everybody to see them. They didn't just put them up 4 days ago. They have been on the website. Just were somewhat hard to find. But the rules are conflicting anyhow because everywhere you look it says home track rules then if you click on the ps/ss/ms rules link it gives you an open set of rules the same ones faster1 posted.

Yup I'm a dick!!!

Originally it was hometrack rules. But it quickly turned into becoming a "techincal" nightmare with HE SAID SHE SAID. TRACK A is my hometrack etc. We adopted the above rules from Kane "outlaw" event that just took place and added a few changes to their rules to adopt for our track. The 44 rule is for the guys on the bigger rubber who have bigger motors as "our" weekly supporters are on a much harder tire and limited to 360cu inch motor. Its ANY 2 bbl carbuerator We are expecting a very good field of cars for the stocks with calls from Canadadaigua, Batavia, Ransomville, Woodhull, Black Rock (all NY) along with Eriez, Stateline and MCR competitors. This is our "first" open stock event and if it goes over well, Im sure there will be more to come. Chris Zuver MCR

Thought about going there but too many changes needed for most of the cars that run down this way. Have to say im pretty disappointed in that payout as well. Other classes are are being paid extremely well! SS payout is less than most tracks on a regular night. Instead will be supporting mercer as IM sure most stock teams will be, Its good to reward ur weekly guys but not sure how many they will draw from other tracks
