It's a township ordinance. Still cheaper than a hotel room.

Clearly a town run by raging liberals then .... Only a liberal can find it reasonable and prudent to allow someone to park a truck in a grimy ass dirt parking lot and charge them for it ...

Is there a racetrack in Findlay Township? I don't see what that has to do with anything.

After North Fayette found out they were charging for camping a few years ago they decided they wanted their cut so the track has to pay them for 24/7 security.

IIRC, there's some kind of weird ordinance that the teams have to take their haulers out of the pits overnight, too.

Join us in our hometown for the 25th running of the Pittsburgher...NDRL Monster Half Mile Style!
The NDRL will be permitting camping which is $30 Pre registered, $40 at the gate, go to www.thendrl.com to get registration forms. We are happy to report The 2013 North Fayette Township event permit does allow for race teams to stay in the pits the duration of the event. Tents still are not permitted per the North Fayette Township Ordinance. Every camper must register and have a permit posted on their camper per the township camping permit. The NDRL will be caring for this. Can't wait!

A township charging someone to park an over sized truck over night on private property is radical liberalism raging out of control .

That sums up Allegheny County in general, doesn't it? It's a shame that the county boundaries weren't drawn a little bit differently so that the track was in Robinson Township (Washington County)...no stupid amusement tax and no stupid camping permit.

Camping was free the last several years. It is not a township fee. It's a NDRL fee.

No it wasn't! Once they started charging for camping the township started insisting that they get their cut every year. Could the NDRL and/or PPMS pay for everybody's camping permit? Sure. Are they obligated to? That is a matter of opinion. It's all part of doing business in the second most pathetic county in Pennsylvania.

Definitely wasn't free last year. As soon as we pulled in the track came up with the sign in sheet for our camp info and the fee payment.

True. It was 20 bucks last year. Most tracks charge for big events. Its not a ppms thing.

This is true. Heightened security costs money, as does trash removal after the campers are gone. Charging a modest amount to offset those costs makes sense. And PPMS has to deal with a retarded law that costs money added to that.
