The BOTTOM LINE is ...
If they are legal at your track then they are legal for the Keystone Open
BUT just because they are, doesn't mean you'll want to run them.

Here is a run down by class:

Asphalt Street Stocks: Comanche's, 970's or used 10" slicks (see note below)

Dirt Street Stocks: Dirt tires or used 10" slicks (see note below)

Asphalt Chargers: Treaded DOT tire as per Motordrome rules.

Dirt Pure Stocks: Dirt tires or used 10" slicks (see note below)

FWD 4 Cyl (ALL): Treaded DOT tires

Modified's: Only tires legal at Motordrome or Lake Erie (Comanche's and 970's)

NOTE: Used 10" slicks are available at the track. A good set of 4 is $160. You can also bring your own but they must be approved by track officials and MUST be used - NO STICKER TIRES! and no qualifying scuffs.

The pure stock tire rule sucks for the motordrome chargers. giving the dirt guys 10" slicks is a bit of an advantage don't you think.

I think Rob is trying to keep it as simple as possible so dirt guys can show up take wheels to tire machine mount tires and try something new. This is about growing asphalt racing and if we as a group of asphalt racer pull together and support it could help all pa asphalt racing. By cnb opening we are building a car and plan on attending some races at MotorDrome CNB Mountain Speedway and a race with the Big 10 series. Thanks hope to see a good turn out sat. Dan Hummel

I think we settled this misunderstanding on Facebook, but for everyone's knowledge...
Each class will run their own heats and features so the Chargers will only run against Chargers, Dirt Street Stocks against Dirt SS, etc. Then at the end of the nite the top teams from the Dirt SS, Asphalt SS and Dirt PS will face off for a King of the Hill race. This last race will be a DASH and will hopefully be a lot of fun to watch all the different cars, styles and techniques for getting around the track.

I found out that they are not running asphalt guys with dirt guys my bad.I was confused LOL!!!!
