had the biggggg r in and im glad he is gone good riden buckyFast Freddy Rahmer dominates the WoO and the Williams Grove National Open!!!!
From the sounds of his victory lane interview and after having discussions with his family it sounds like he is going out the way of Lynn Paxton with last night being his final race and putting Stevie Smith in the car the rest of the season.

Awesome! I was hoping Fast Freddy would win the Open before he "retired". I put the word retired in quotes because I wouldn't be surprised if Rahmer finds a SBM to screw around with in coming years.
While it would be very cool to see Fast Freddie in a mod again all these years later, Grandview and Big Diamond are full contact racing to the max. I don't know that he'd want to put that much stress on his body this late in life.
But they they do pay just about as much as the Grove and Lincoln, and they have a pretty good amount of raised purse specials between them. And there have been rumors that Bob Faust is looking to get back into owning a race car. Could maybe be a match made in heaven.
But I'd think It would be way cooler if he just walked away entirely. It would be so badass.

I never rooted for Fred {except against the outlaws}
But he will go down as one of Pa's ALL TIME GReats
His accomplishments in a sprint are incredible
total wins
track championships
all time winner at the grove & lincoln
on & on
But what I admire him the most for, he never makes an excuse and was NEVER a whiner
Congrats Fred!!!
Whether he drives again or not he will remain one of the best
Well said. I surmised that he might not walk away for good strictly because he seems like he has to keep himself busy. What ever his decision, he's had a hell of a career.
