FASTRAK OFFICIALS HAVE ANNOUNCED THE FOLLOWING PENALTIES... DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE ENTIRE 2013 FASTRAK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS WEEKEND INCLUDING FORFEITURE OF ALL POINTS MONIES AND PURSES FROM RACES. Waiting to see if fastrak changes things again since a super late driver with big funding won the title this year. What a mess with umberger and meadows. Long history of battling on track paid dividends tonight. Gotta nip that shit in the bud, this incident spoiled the soup IMO. But that's crate racin. Great run by Andrew Satterlee with a top 5!

I do not think that Fastrak was designed for the "low budget teams". I think it was designed to be low budget late model racing. Slight but significant difference.

This argument is starting to get tired. This topic shows up in lots of crate late model threads, street stock threads, and most recently, the proposed RUSH 602 modified thread. Everyone seems to be so concerned about who they are racing against rather than just racing.

The only thing FASTRAK ever promised was more affordable engines. If you thought that meant the entire class would/should be for low budget racers, then you are an idiot.

Then stop saying its a feeder class to the big block division or into lates. It is designed to get the lower budget teams started. But the higher funded teams see opportunity to steal easy wins and money so they move down. The problem with fast track is the only real saving cost is on the motor. And that's not even true if you build your own motors. The only sanctioning body that has real creditability is imca. And no tracks around here wanna enforce or have uniform rules with other tracks.no pure/street/pro stock car can travel from one track to the next without changing carb,intake,(entire motor)trans,wheels and tires to be competitive elsewhere. So most are limited to one track. This notion that if all rules are the same we will lose cars is stupid.racers need to be able to run Fri at one track then Saturday elsewhere without changing anything.low budget racers don't have the time and money to change everything and keep two sets of spares for everything just to race. It cost just as much to run a stock car as it does a limited, crate,or open late any more.there needs to be separation for all these classes to work and have higher car counts.

The principal.a class these drivers could move into a "cheaper" late car. This is why the class doesn't prosper. Some ppl just don't get the concept.also the reason every track has open" stock "shows.it doesn't even make sense when you say it. luck it, drop everything.everyone run superlate since no class has a budget, hell our government has no spending cap, we might as well not either.

Since we are talking about FASTRAK. We set out to do two things. Lower the price of the engines and lower the tire bills from the cost of supers. We have accomplished that. That was what we marketed. Nothing else. If you have suggestions please feel free to email or call me. I am always willing to listen. The only way we can make things better is to listen to each other, understand each others opinions and do our very best to make things better. This is short track racing. Grassroots racing and in my opinion we need to support each other. With the way things are in our economy it doesn't seem to me we can afford to lose anyone. I love how people get so mad when a guy who has ran super lates drops down to crates. Who are you to say that guy should just spend more money and run supers! This class is exactly what you say a low budget late model class. So if a guy is struggling funding a super late he should not be allowed to run a class he can afford?? Use your head.

First of all he's not a guy that dropped down from supers to crate. He runs both classes and most of the time both in the same night and he's definitely not hurting for money because he runs for a fully funded team. Get your facts first before commenting. Time to use your head.
