Anybody else have issues with hemmed body panel edges cracking after not many nights of racing?

Are you making the panels yourself? Chances are the crease was probably smashed in the brake to completely flatten it. To avoid cracks, leave the edge out just a hair in the brake so it comes out as a small teardrop shape after it's finished. Not completely flat. I'm talking only maybe 1/8". You'll just be able to fit the tip of a pencil in the cross-section when finished

This is the correct answer^. When you flatten completely it cracks before its even put on you just cant see it.Are you making the panels yourself? I know of guys putting wire in the crease to avoid the cracking. It helps stiffen it up also. Like 14 gage with the jacket on works well. But the main reason is definitely the smashing of the edge.
