There was a lot of racing at Pittsburgh over the weekend and some more at America's Raceway Park. But no changes in the Cavalcade Point leaders or the spreads between the leaders and the second place driver, with one exception. However, there were several changes in the top five in different classes.
Late Models: With his second in the Friday PPMS race, Josh Richards moved back into the top five.
LIMITED LATE MODELS: By winning both RUSH Series races at PPMS, Ryan Montgomery passed Mike Pegher, Jr. for second. Could be for the first time in six years Pegher won't finish second to Max Blair, who has already clinched the honor again. Pegher is now 12 points behind Montgomery, so he could regain second spot with a 1st & 2nd in the next two races at Roaring Knob and Lernerville, if Montgomery doesn't get additional points. Montgomery is 83 points behind Blair, a bit closer than Pegher was going in last weekend, but this one was over a couple of months back!!
LIMITED MODIFIEDS: By winning the UEMS race at PPMS Saturday, Jonathan Taylor moved into a 6th place tie with Randy Hall. They are only 3 points back of Brett Rhebergen with the Lernerville Stampede to decide that along with 1st place in this class.
STOCK CARS: Nate Smith, a big winner at Marion Center, won the Street Stock race at America's Raceway Park Saturday and moved into 6th in the points. He is just 3 points behind Ryan Scott, but I doubt either will race again this year.
Only two week remain in the 2013 points. this week there is RUSH racing at Roaring Knob and action on the Clearfield area paved track. Then the following week the annual Stampede at Lernerville and local racing is all over for another year. I know of no other races scheduled in the area. The only Cavalcade winners yet to be decided are in the big block Modifieds and the Limited Modifieds.
GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

Hey Walt, what's the spread between first and second in the Limited Modified? I assume the Stampede is triple points?

The point spread in the Limited Modifieds is 9 with Rich Michael, Jr. over Steve Dixon 123 to 114. The Lernerville Stampede race will be a triple point race as long as it is $1,000 to win as in the past, so it is 9 points to win, 6 for 2nd and 3 for 3rd.
However, I am still trying to track down some missing Bradford results dating back to June. I never received any results for those races and they are not shown on their website. I have contacted the track on this, but no reply!!!
Thanx for your interest!!
Walt
