Saw on facebook Hagerstown stickin to Fridays, Roaring Knob staying on Saturday with some Friday shows. He ran the Rock and Knob against each other for a couple years on Sat nights for a few years with them being 45 minutes apart. Hope they don't drop limited or super late shows since Jones is gung ho for crate racing.Rick Jones and Ernie Davis. Will be interesting to see what their plan is with Rick promoting Roaring Knob.

According to her post on Hagerstown's Facebook page, the Knob will run Fridays ( all new classes, TBA )" AND" Saturdays. ( same classes as 2013 ) Hagerstown will continue to run on Saturdays with some friday night specials. I imagine we'll all get the details after the Oct.30th meeting.Do a search for Jennifer Brandt its on her page. I think she used to own Roaring Knob.

Well said Express Man!Just wondering what Ernie needs Rick Jones for????? I hope Ernie wants to bring the track back to being the "Capitol of Dirt Track racing" Meaning.....Racing Super Lates every weekend like the Old Days! Thats what this area needs! Some one to committ to bringing racing back! Not PoGo the Clown! And someone that isn't affriad to loose on a show now or then!!! Have to spend money to make money! I think Ernie knows that!

dropping super lates for crate lates is a track killer. if that is their plan they might as well lock the gates now.

I seriously doubt that is their plan. While they might run more shows with crates, it will probably be as a support class ( RUSH, or FASTRAK ) for WoO, LUCAS OIL, NDRL or Hagerstown's unsanctioned Super-late model or Sprint specials. If the Crates do end up replacing a class, down the road, i think it would more than likely be the Street Stock class, with GM Metric OEM frames becoming more and more scarce in the salvage yards. The decision to run Crates at Cumberland as a Headlining Class was probably a bold experiment, last ditch effort to save an already sinking ship, reasoning that many southern tracks run crates as their top class and that maybe there might be some support for that there. JMHOdropping super lates for crate lates is a track killer. if that is their plan they might as well lock the gates now.
