Chuck Verbonitz, who used to flag at Bedford, Jennerstown and Clearfield speedways for sure and possibly many other speedways, reportedly passed away this week. According to the local news, he pulled his van to the side of the road and flagged down help because of a medical emergency he was having and then his vehicle caught on fire. They said by standers began CPR, but Chuck did not make it. He was a really good friend. He and my dad were also good friends. Out thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Rest in peace Chuck. :(
