As far as the 602 being competitive against the 358 I won 4-5 heats 3 features and a bunch of seconds with one and never turned the motor over 5500 so I feel they are a good motor for the class and the money

thats not a bad deal for the car and extras. ill put the word out. my dad has been wanting to get into it for a long time. ill see what he says.

the 602 seems like it could be a great engine for the class and the money. with the cam rule in place, turning it 5500 or even 6000 shouldn't really hurt the motor at all. i can't see there being a HUGE difference in the power between a built 358, and this 602. Track conditions will play a factor, as well as set-up. so any given night it could be either or in the winners circle in my opinion.

A competent engine builder will be able to turn high 7000s with these rules. Think of the advantage the lower gear will have on restarts.

If you special grind a cam, the 333 cam lift does a good job at limiting the ability of the stock cams; even the solid flat tappet run out at 6800 to 7000; In time we will see.
