Jamaica, VA – Officials of both Virginia Motor Speedway and Fastrak Racing are proud to announce that Virginia Motor Speedway will host the 2014 $20,000 to win Fastrak World Championship on October 2 – 4, 2014. “The success of the Fastrak Racing engine rules package was the main reason we have introduced the Pro Late Model division to our weekly line-up and we are excited to bring the division’s marquee event to our facility for 2014,” commented track owner Bill Sawyer. Sawyer added, “Adding this event should also help in growing our new Aaron’s Pro Late Model division and offer our competitor’s a chance to compete for a large paycheck at the end of the season.” This year’s Fastrak World Championships will have a new and improved format that will include a $10,000 to win Fastrak Northeast Regional Race-Off as well as a $10,000 to win Fastrak Southeast Regional Race-Off before heading to Virginia Motor Speedway for the final $20,000 World Championship event. Should someone win all three events that person will pocket an additional $10,000 bonus, making it a $50,000 total payday. All three events will be paid each night of the World Championships. It has already been announced that the Northeast Regional Race-Off will be contested at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV on September 18 – 20, 2014. A venue and date for the Southeast Regional Race-Off will be announced in the next few weeks. “This Championship deserves a venue like Virginia Motor Speedway; it is second to none of any venue in the United States. We look forward to working with Bill Sawyer and his crew because we know that they are well equipped to handle an event of this size and magnitude,” stated Fastrak CEO / Founder Stan Lester For more information on the 2014 World Championships contact Stan Lester at the FASTRAK Corporate Office at (678) 935-7304 or Brian Haynes at (706) 340-4781. bash, dude i don't make the finest wood projects, nor own my own business. i get three days off during this time of year. i 'can't' go to all three, let alone two. this format hurts us. at least we try to race three nights a week and support tracks......what's your excuse?

Everyday I'm not out working costs me a couple grand .. Racing isn't my job it's my hobby. You can't expect people to put on races on terms that are financially suicidal ... A 20k to win race for cars with motors costing 5k is huge !!! Crates don't draw fans like supers ... I'm sure stan is doing the best he can

agree'd. this is a valid point. if it's argue'd by pretty much anyone on here, they have no common sense.

I am the PR and Marketing director for VMS. The nice thing about the format is you don't have to attend all three is you can't. If you do all three you do have a shot at a bonus. We are excited to host this event for the first time and anyone making the trip down will treated like family. And, I might be a little bias but I think you will be impressed with the place!

Dave - the wife and I caught your regular night of racing last Labor Day weekend. I think it was your last or next to last race of the season.

We were definitely impressed by the place. It was jaw dropping actually. It was the nicest dirt track facility that I have ever been to. It's grandstands and "press box" is more akin to a college football stadium. It' a big track. I am biased towards the short tracks, but the facilities at VMS are absolutely fantastic.

exactly, it is a hobby for me too, as was my comments. i need to work first before playing also. so why get on me. this is not a working mans format. and i'm not bashing stan or fastrak. we are just not full time racers like this format is set up for. yes, we would probably choose the big one........

Scott ..... Did you not notice guys are running crate specific components on brand new rocket cars costing 35k for a rolling chassis ??? Taking new motors and having them rebuilt ?? It may have been intended as a class for the " working man " but clearly that's not the case anymore . All I'm saying is there are 50k to win shows that happen in 1 weekend but the guys going there to win spend 500k a year to race and they race for a living ... 2 -10k weekends and a 20k weekend is huge for crate cars and you guys should be happy that opportunity is available !!! Your more less complaining that it's not a 50k 1 day show but that's just not realistic for crate cars

Here is the next problem I see. Fastrak in the northeast is just about dead. Were do you even race to get your 12 races in to qualify for world final races? At this time no word from raceway 7 or eriez? I would think and hope they switched to rush. This would get teams back to one set tire and save teams in the long run. Time will tell.

Look guys, for all of you that keep talking this very unprofessional nonsense of "FASTRAK is about dead in the NE" I would really appreciate if you would keep your "dissolutional thoughts to yourself. Not being ugly but this is what we do for a living guys. Racing may be a hobby for you, but this is our job and we would truly like the opportunity to be successful at it without premediated continued remarks of being dead in the NE, I hope you guys get smart enough to see through all the smoke and mirrors one day and see TRUTH!

Yes we were handed this back to us in 2013. So let me ask you How would you have handed it in 2013 had it happened to you? We announced one thing in our meetiings there last year. That we were not there to "set the woods on fire" in 2013. That all we wanted to do was get to know the people, the tracks and if nothing else the geography itself and then we would go to work in 2014. Thats exactly what we did. We accomplished EVERY GOAL we set out to do and we did it without going around telling lies about other series or people in the process. WE ACTED PROFESSIONALLY WHILE DOING SO. So how all of a sudden are we dying? We got back EVERY track in 2013 that the previous managment had lost. We added two tracks that had NEVER had crate late models. We have already addded two more (and more coming) tracks in 2014. I fail to see how your continued statement of dying in the NE has ANY CREDIBILITY.

Again, I am not being ugly here, but really guys if you don't like FASTRAK then just dont come. Its a choice. It you don't want to run for our championships then there are other choices, but being ugly about me or my company is not one of those choices. You want to solve something then call me personally. 706-244-2732. We announce a possible $50,000 to win WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP and you complained about it???????????????? Really? NO one said you had to come to ll three events. No one said you had to come to two of them and certainly no one said you had to come to all three, but you know what? Someone actually might want too. Someone might actually like FASTRAK. Someone might actually know the REAL truth about things, not what someone thinks or their opinions they claim thier right too, but where I come from opinions that are false, are called lies.

Now we are having one REGIONAL RACE OFF FOR $10K TO WIN in the NE. Hows that "almost dead"?
We are adding tracks and most of which are new tracks that have never run crates so doesn't that GROW THE SPORT? AND FASTRAK NE?
You asked for Champinoships to be in your area and we have now done that. Hows that dead?
We are the ONLY SERIES allowing their tires in our touring events. How come no one else is? So they are trying to help you?

All I ask is be fair. Treat us like you want to be treated. Think for yourselves and don't be too influenced on what others tell you, versus what you alreayd know for certain. Don't make decisions on rumors. That most always works against you. If nothing else none of us knows the future and why make your life difficult by making accusations now that might come back and haunt you in the future.

Im great with you making suggestions to us. I'm appreciative of it really. Thats how we built this entire company. Built by racers for racers. If you want to believe in someone else thats great, but just don't run over me in the meantime. FAIR ENOUGH? And please if you have any questions I will be in Philly at the show this weekend and I always return calls. 706-244-2732 Stan Lester.

Thanks for your time in reading my ranting LOL. Bottom line I love this sport. I love and appreicate the people that have always supported us so much. I put my money out there on crate engine racing WHEN THERE WAS NO SUCH THING. Believe what you want. Thats your choice.

i'm a supporter through and through. as i wrote about not being able to race all events, no where did it say you didn't have to race all events either. we like the tires better, and just want the sanction.......

I really hope fastrack gets back to their original dominate position. The pioneered the crate industry and were done dirty by others with a self fulfilling agenda
