Silver Crowns at Darlington a Huge Success…Photos The Silver Crown Race at Darlington was a huge success. Both in turn out and in racing. Southern stock car people turned out in BIG numbers (see crowd photos) for a Thursday night USAC Silver Crown race at Darlington. race and loved it. The Silver Crown Race at Darlington was a huge success. Both in turn out and in racing.

I thought the Silver Crown race was dissapointing. The crowd was poor, the car count was small and the race wasn't much until Yeley drove into the third turn wall. Before that the race was for second and had been stretched out single file. It wasn't worth driving down a day early to see.

Well The croud was 4 times bigger than any crowd they ran for before. and the last 10 laps were great. but what the heck you might know more than I do. I plan on flying in early from TX to see it Rog
