I really hope this works out. This seems like an idea that was a long time coming. Best of luck to all involved in getting this to take off.

If you have 10 races like the Ed Laboon race you will really have something special for Stock cars !

I agree, I just hope they don't schedule races way out. keep it in the surrounding area tracks.

Your right. Vince has done more for the sportsman racers in two years than promoters have been able to do.i really would like to see vince start a series of his own and I would help in any way I could.

I dont think it will be to bad, will have some travel no matter what you do but i like what is going on so far.
Big question is, who has committed there full support so this series can get off the ground.
TBR is committed.

Thanks Gary. I actually thought about this last year and discussed it with a few guys but Shaun and his team are good people and are doing a great job. My only advise would be keeping it as centralized as possible- ie PPMS, Lernerville, Knob, Mercer and Sharon. I'm guessing most guys in this division don't have the budget to regularly travel 3-4 hours. But I love the concept of doing a York Triathalon type series for the stocks no matter what!

Vince, the knob isnt to centralize for the bulk of guys involved. Its 3 hours for us and there is alot of guys north of us. I hope for an increased payout for the night we travel there. Cant make everyone happen. We will have to travel.

Tim- I hear ya. I just meant it would be nice to keep the selected tracks themselves within a 3-4 hour radius of each other. For instance the Knob and Sharon are a little over 3 hours apart. Some guys are closer to the Knob and some will be closer to Sharon obviously. That way the travel balances out in the long run that's all.

I didn't think a lot of those guys could run the series since they ran 2 barrels. But yeah I definitely agree its a work in progress and will work out in the end.

I don't think the support will be good if at times there is a 3-4 hour tow. keep it centralized in western pa, ohio. a lot of crate teams gave up on the tour because of this, its hard to work full time and have a 5 hour tow

Alot of us "northern" cars are interested and you don't have to worry about our 2bbls they'll be just fine, its open show rules, as long as you meet weight it won't matter........

I don't really see that happening. VERY few cars from those tracks support any of the big shows at any of these tracks. VERY few of the drivers that would run this series probably have any interest at all traveling to those two tracks. Wish hesston was running. That's the only track east of mercer that could spark interest and get more guys excited.

I think they would if the opportunity was brought to them. would be nice to see a couple shorter tracks in the series. mix it up. that's what shows who the better drivers are. lets not do a nascar and have nothing but cookie cutter tracks.

with that being said. amp has started changing its track. the racing will be better there. and bird always has a good show with the SS there. I hope if they offer the opportunity to them, they accept because that track has A LOT of potential

Let's remember the "good show" at the last ss special at the bird. I think maybe the top 3 were the only cars that weren't involved in any major incidents. That was painful to watch. If that is "good show" then the locals can have it. Don't subject people who take pride in their cars to that nonsense.
