Some of Dale Johnson's best years were in the old coupe days driving a 1937 Chevy coupe #64 for George Blaney, Lou's dad. Saw him race that car at Butler in 1954 when I was 14-15 years old!! Most of the old timer Sprint Car drivers started during the coupe days!! Walt

Considering the " Butler County Sprint Car Hall of Fame, " Butler Co. owned, Butler Co. driven, would you say the first actual sprint car was Mel Tuck's Trevis sprint?
