do it at the (before) the banquet...I know there was no rules meeting this year and to me his was a big mistake , and i know a few guys did not want a rules meeting but a few of these classes have big holes in the rules that are posted. there is still plenty of time left to schedule a rules meeting and it might not be a bad idea to let the drivers get together and vote on these rules , you do not have to have such a big put together meeting like was held last year just a simple meeting wuold be fine . when you make rules up that make no sense that is when cars start going to other tracks .

Yep....that makes a lot of sence! Lets make sure we don't get ant bigger dollar teams to compete at the track! What is posted on their website was not posted as the rule was supposed to read, it is for Aluminum block cars having to add extra weight toward the front of the car so that the Steel block cars are not at a dis-advantage in rear weight percentage. What is posted on the website is not how the rule is supposed to read, It is supposed to read something like this, all Aluminum block cars need to have 60 pounds of weight mounted in front of the transmission. They talked about doing this last year at the drivers meeting but then they just went with a 2400 pound rule and called it even. I guess this year they are going to add that rule for the guys running Aluminum blocks. Not too many guys at AMP are running Aluminum blocks if any so it shouldn't be a big deal. Steel block cars just have to weigh 2400, Aluminum block have to weigh 2400 but at least 60 pound of the weight added needs to forward of the tranny.

That is worded incorrectly and will be straightened out on Monday when Terry gets back in town.It will say any aluminum engine blocks will have to add 60 lbs from the transmission forward.
You realize that the dart block weighs slighltly the aluminum block. I believe it is less than 15 pounds difference. Again; last year there were many more races won by the steel blocks than the aluminum block engines and the rule was 50 pounds bolted in front of the mid plate; we carried it all season.

I have been involved In latemodel racing for a long time. This really deters racers from coming to the track that race other tracks. If someone races a track that uses Outlaws or Ulms type rules why would they bolt #60 on their car and come there and race. I love the fact that they opened back up. They need to have same rules as everywhere else. I have seen Steel blocks win against aluminum without this rule a lot. Just my opinion but this rule will affect the car count on some nights that they race and others cancel. How many Late Models run steel tubes and 95 bullets?
