We are seeking qualified candidates for part time Teck Official openings with Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. This position is responsible for learning, understanding and enforcing the Roaring Knob Rulebook in a consistent, timely, and professional manner as it applies to inspection and race procedures. Applicants must be able to perform complex mechanical inspections to documented acceptance criteria. Maintain accurate inspection records in accordance with established operating procedures. Maintain proper communication with Promoter Rick Jones and Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex Race Director. Qualifications-Extensive knowledge and experience concerning complex inspection techniques and knowledge of mechanical inspection tools, uses of functional gauging, and optical comparator use. First task of new employee should be complete rewrite of street stock rules. Very confusing

I agree on that.... But this was in the news and notes section on the web site: ATTENTION STREET STOCK DRIVERS: We will be adapting Elkins Speedway rules for the Street Stocks. Elkins cars will be required to weigh 3100 lbs. while Roaring Knob cars will weigh 3000 lbs. Elkins cars must use Roaring Knob tire rules in order to run. Hope this is the case.....

it doesn't matter who the tech guy is at the knob. whatever call he makes rick will just over turn it like he always does. tech guy should be able to do his job, but can't because rick has final call. they shouldn't have rules because they don't enforce them to worried about pissing someone off. that's why every year there looking for a tech guy.
