Beware the Ides of March! :(

It is February 13. These cars aren't built with a magic wand. They take hundreds of man hours to build and prepare. Rules are desperately needed. Registration is the cart before the horse.

It never ceases to amaze me that those who make up the rules never grab a few guys from each division - sit down and say- what do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of the division and what changes need to be made. Instead they rely on officials - most of whom haven't raced in years and are not truly up to date on the changes in each class in the past five years. Case and point- rules say charger cars must have stock trunk-last year they allowed guys to altar them. I know cause when I saw some cars with alterations I spoke w tech. They changed the rules- ok - now less than one year later they are changing them back. So guys removed the stock trunk- so now they need to close them back in? Because they want to keep them as stock as possible??? A peice of aluminum isn't stock. Those cars have been less and less stock thanks to Stan. gear rule for S.S. ???- still being discussed... By who? Good luck to all the drivers- you will need it.

Settle down everyone! New owners and your all ready bitching? Your lucky you have someone who was willing to take over what Stanley has torn down! And be in it for the long haul. Take your ideas and tell them about it. Dont let them see some bashing before they even know whats going on. Easy everyone, EASY!

I'm pretty sure there was a group that saved last season- who also wanted the track- who spent time getting feedback from the drivers to implement better changes in all divisions- I'm also pretty sure they were in it for the long haul. Nobody is knocking him personally- it's just hard to believe we are still waiting on some rule decisions AND that some don't even make sense when they are posted. In addition a friend emailed the owner twice about a ride and drive Program and had no response. I did speak with Red and as usual he was very nice and did give an answer to the question and returned my call within an hour- however I am still unclear on exactly what we are expected to do.
