In spite of a winter that just doesn't want to end, the 2014 racing season will be upon us shortly and with that in mind the FASTRAK Northeast is excited to release their 2014 schedule.

"The staff at FASTRAK headquarters and the Northeast Region want to stress that the schedule below is a 'working schedule'. We anticipate a total of 18 to 20 events once the schedule is completed," commented FASTRAK Northeast Director Jimmy Henry.

Looking to the 2014 Tour schedule, Henry commented, "We have a lot of great promoters who understand the value of giving their racers the opportunity of what the FASTRAK brand offers. We are trying hard to keep travel down, condense weekends and have good paying shows. We are hoping to reduce smaller shows and have a solid schedule that is efficient for competitors, puts money in their pockets and doesn't dilute the FASTRAK brand with too many shows in the area. The Northeast staff is excited about the 2014 season and believes that the teams, racing facilities and fans will be excited, as well."

The 2014 racing season will kick off with two shows that will be sanctioned by both the Northeast and Southeast Touring Divisions of FASTRAK; March 14th through the 16th will find the nation's top Pro-Late Model competitors in action at the Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, GA) followed by racing action at the County Line Raceway (Elm City, NC) on March 20th, 21st and 22nd.

"2014 is certainly going to be BIGGER and even more EXCITING than the 2013 race season. That's all we can say for now but there's a lot of things in the works even before the season goes green. We would like to extend a special thank you to all the FASTRAK drivers, teams, track promoters, sponsors, contingencies and most of all the fans for supporting the "Nation's First, Premier and Most Prestigious Pro Late Models Series in the Country" - FASTRAK Racing Series." concluded Stan Lester.

The month of April will find the stars of the Northeast Touring Series headed to the Tyler County Speedway located in Middlebourne, WV. The $1,500.00 to win main event will find Tyler County hot shoes Kyle Thomas, Danny Thomas and Joel Prosser battling Series regulars such as Chad Wright, Wayne Robertson and Matt Latta for the win.

The newly reopened Allegheny Motor Speedway (Franklin, PA), formerly Tri-City Speedway, will host five Northeast Touring events this summer. The first will be held May 18th with additional events slated for June 15th, July 6th, August 17th and September 21st. "We are extremely excited to be working the speedway's new owner, Mike Thomas and his staff as they present the 'Sizzlin Summer Series events," stated Northeast Direct Jimmy Henry. "Mr. Thomas has committed to FASTRAK and motorsports in northwestern PA in a big way and we look forward to working with him in bringing affordable motorsports events back to the Venango County oval."

Many long time FASTRAK fans may remember that the speedway is where Max Blair and Mike Pegher, Jr. waged numerous Sunday night battles and if Blair's Super Late Model schedule permits the third generation driver may just return to his home track to battle the competition. In addition to Blair, other FASTRAK competitors who got their start at the Venango County oval include Bobby Whitling, who began his racing career in the Thunder Car Division and Matt Latta, who began his career competing at the Tri-City go cart facility.

Each of the events at Allegheny Motor Speedway will pay $3,000.00 to win and $300.00 to start. In addition, the speedway will be calculating points for all of the events and will crown a FASTRAK Divisional Champion after the September event.

The Northeast Division will travel south on August 2nd to visit the Princeton Speedway (Athens, WV) for the Fourth Annual UBB 29 Miners Memorial event. The winner of the event will collect $2,900 for his efforts. The following day FASTRAK competitors will return to the Tyler County Speedway and battle in a main event that will pay $1,500.00 to the winner.

The month of August will include a stop at the Allegheny Motor Speedway on August 17th and conclude with a trip to the 11th Annual PRO Model Nationals at Wythe Raceway located in Rural Retreat, VA.

Fall racing action will find the Series returning to Tyler County Speedway for this final appearance of the season for the FASTRAK Northeast Race Off. The racing action will get underway on September 18th. Two days of exciting racing action will follow on September 19th and 20th as we crown the winner and reward him with a $10,000.00 check for his efforts.

The 2014 FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series will conclude during the first weekend in October at the "state of the art" Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA. The speedway, which is one half mile in length features 14 degree banking in the turns and lots of side by side racing action. The FASTRAK World Championship will pay $20,000 to win.

"Our competitors are among the best in the nation and the entire team at FASTRAK Northeast is looking forward to an exciting season of great Pro-Late Model racing action," commented Henry. "We want to make these events enjoyable for the drivers and crew members as well as the fans and our marketing partners and believe we are headed in the right direction."

It's truly remarkable how race studders magically grow clits in their throat when anything WRG or rush is mentioned .... You would swear those groups pay the locals 10k a week to show up with how the 7 or 8 deep throats on here act when they are mentioned ...

Not a bad schedule, considering the number of tracks that are actually Fastrak sanctioned in the area. Kinda sucks for the racers intending to run said schedule that they have to go to Georgia and North Carolina on different weekends though.

No sir.

FASTRAK racers in the northeast are not required to run National events in the southeast region. Those will not count toward northeast points but can be used as a "throwaway" finish, meaning if they have a poor finish in a NE Tour race, they can go to a National event in another region and if they improve upon a bad finish, they can replace it. No way would I require my guys to travel that far for touring points---that would be counter-productive to what I am trying to build here in this region.

Several more FASTRAK NE Touring events will be released in the next few weeks.

Thanks

If Stan Lester was a girl what rush did to him would damn near be considered rape . Most of the tracks signed contracts before he ever knew what was going on. He could have just bailed on the reigon but he didnt , he's providing crate racers at a chance to win 50k in 3 races and a national point fund ... I have news the rush people and those track owners did what they did for money not because they are humanitarians trying to help the racers ... Be serious. I can't stand the WOO lm series because of how it was formed and I don't care for Rush because of how it was formed. There's a thing called integrity and they don't have it

Legend, my problem is why do you even care what rush or fastrak do? Last time I checked you race SLM part time at ppms. Also as with anything there are two sides to every story. Stan is not the angle you proclaim him to be. Everything that was being done for us in the north when it was fastrak was put together by Vicki and mike. And continues now with rush.50,000 manufacturer night set up by Vicki for us racers. We plan to run both in 2014.

95 % of the people bashing fastrack don't even have cars , hell half of them sit in the stands because they can't afford pit passes. Before rush was formed did mike and Vicky go to stan and say we don't like XYX and if you don't change XYZ were going to sign your customers and start a new company ??? Or did they blind side him without warning ? If they did approach him and request changes and were denied I retract my negative comments about rush, however I have never heard rush claim that. I know mike pegher and max Blair made a ton of money off fastrack .... The opportunity would not have been there without Stan .... My comments come
From the standpoint of a business owner looking objectively at the situation ... Seems to me someone woke up with a profalactic hanging from their 2 wondering what happened ...

That makes sense, but I would take them off the schedule you posted then, because it looks a little misleading.

I'm sure Jimmy would be more than happy to hear from anyone about the schedule in 2014. Try to remember he is brand new at this and actually could use your help. Jimmy is one heck of a guy and will do a great job up there. As to the gentleman that referred to Vickie and Mike be the salvation up there. I am not trying to be the salvation of the NE. I however have paid over $400,000 in point money into the NE Region and have all the copies of checks to prove it. When Vickie comes out of pocket with that much money please call me.
