We didnt get anything more than a sprinkle last night locally. Drove past track. Does not look bad but of course it is hard to tell how much moisture is a few inches down that you cant see. We do have a strong breeze but with not a drop of sun in sight till after noon I would think its iffy.

Haven't been on here in over 6 months. 1 post and got an asshole responding. Site Hasn't changed a bit. But you are right I'm sure it's 80 degrees in mercer since its 70 miles away jackass. Cry some more about hauling on Sunday when it's 60 degrees out. Stupid

Yup I'm a dick!!!

No thriller today. Maybe tomorrow as a rain date. NDRLNortheast ‏@NDRLNortheast · 3m Racing today at @MercerRaceway has been cancelled. They'll decide within a few hours whether they will use tomorrow as a rain date.

Oh good, more foot dragging on decisions. One more reason for me to hate that place. Makes me glad I have to work and not sit at that hell hole.

Chiller Thriller was rescheduled this morning. We had to get in touch with NDRL to get a decision from them. Pit gates open at Noon, Grandstand gates at 1, Hot Laps at 2, Racing at 3.

I apologize. I inadvertently left out that I had to work on Sunday. However, I am interested to know if the decision to cancel could have been made yesterday, after it rained steadily for 8 hours followed by thunder storms and heavy down pours, at 7 or 8 o'clock, thus giving fans time to adjust their schedules accordingly. I know I would have appreciated the same courtesy that was shown last week when the decision to reschedule was made mid-week.

Several factors made it easier to cancel early last week. The first was the frost which was still about 8" deep. Second the snow we got pretty much sealed the deal. Friday we got rain, but the track was sealed and we never got the huge amount of rain a lot of areas got, especially around 7 and 8 o'clock last night. The track might have been able to go today, but the pits and parking did not drain very well and they were still just too wet this morning. Then when we decided to cancel that lead to a discussion with NDRL to make sure a Sunday rain date was feasible. Remember this show was not on the schedule for this weekend. The rain date was last Sunday. A lot of fans enjoy seeing the late models so we did what we could to get the show rescheduled for Saturday and now Sunday and as early as we could. Once we had an agreement on race time then we had to get the information out to dozens of media outlets, Facebook, and various message boards. The media can for the most part be handled with one press release, but things like Facebook and message boards must be contacted one at a time. All of this took place before 11:00 am today which isn't too bad.
