Probably because they werent ecen ready for practice. Was there and they had alot of issues. I sorta expected that. Birds practice mm on the other hand was smooth and well organized. They were ready....this its to wet business at 11 am is garbage. They had a beautiful.day with TONS of time to wait and see. 7-8 hours to work the track is more than enough time....

The same people would be complaining if they raced tonight and the track ended up rough destroying equipment

I just looked at the forecast and called P-Phil and he said rain next Tuesday and Wednesday. Make plans to go to races other than the Bird! Only kidding. I have to agree with the disappointment of the fans on here. Sorry I don't visit the Bird and live less than 10 miles away, and it is in the mid 60's here and the sun has been beating down since about 8:00am, and it wasn't raining when I left the house at 4:00 am.

Race fans are chomping at the bit to see some racing after a long cold winter, and they finally have a good day race day only to be told CANCELLED! Big let down.

I agree. If AMP was not ready, they should have cancelled Wednesday.

can someone please explain to me why everyone complains about hummingbird canceling here but there isn't one reply on the thread about amp canceling?

I think because no one expects anything from amp this year. Dude lost any respect he had with all the off season drama. Half on this board wouldn't be surprised if they never ran a race.

It looks like the tracks in this area doesn't give a hoot about its racing fans, there is no reason they couldn't have ran today. I say if you don't want to run a race track, sell it.. <_<

The management should just come out and say that. People can respect the fact they have work to do..

Unanswered questions about point money. Unanswered/unreturned calls about anything and everything from money to agendas, plans, and rules for this season. There was a big multi-page thread about it not long ago. A lot of people called Jeff looking for answers and then came here looking when he didn't respond. Haven't seen anything directly from "chuck stevens" on here since last year. Lots of rumors that I won't help spread, but you'd think he'd get on here and clarify things.

I once heard a promoter say he would never respond to these chat rooms because most of those posting stuff on them don't know what they are talking about and just complain about everything. I would have to agree about that statement, it seems that there is little posted about the good and tons of negativity!

I did read about a couple drivers who didn't get there point money on time, and have " heard" plenty of rumors, some of which I think are bull. I didn't see much on the nice trophies everyone got, or on moving the front stretch wall back, or the lighting upgrades, or the fill in 1 and 2 to make the track longer for next year?

I am in no way am saying that Jeff is perfect, but he and all the other promoters, be it Louie at the Bird, Mike at Clinton, or whomever, they all deserve credit for what they are doing! Everyone has their faults and we all make mistakes. All this negative crap is just one more added headache to all these difficulties in running a track, andjust make these promoters want to shut the doors and say screw it, because at some point in time they have to question is all the effort worth it, cause they are not getting rich by any means. Just my opinion.

I agree with nick. ironic that I clicked the like button on his post and got an error that said something about reaching a limit on positive votes. I haven't liked anything else so I guess that means there isn't supposed to be anything positive on here.

I apologize for coming across negative. I agree that's wrong and I am guilty as much as anyone. I do like to point out the positive experiences as well. It's just tough to hold back frustrations sometimes when you work hard and make huge sacrifices to get to the track and feel like no one on the other side is willing to put in work or make the same sacrifices to make it happen.

Absolutely nothing wrong with expressing one's opinion. It just has a lot more credibility when you sign your name to it...
