Low counts in all divisions. 8 Super late models, and 8 laps in there was 5 left on the track.
Dan Angelicchio won for his career first LM win. Clate Copeman second,Doug Glessner 3rd, Dan Swartzlander 4th, Dave Blazavich 5th. Billy Eash broke a driveline early and Billy Dickson crashed early and a a slower #69 car went out all before lap 10, so needless to say not real great waching 5 cars.
Cheyenne Reed won limiteds.
Andrew Satterlee in crates.

Would be more crates if they were sanctioned. That makes a big difference. I think the low latemodel class is due to the economy and having steel blocks also. Reed and many of the others have latemodels with a steel block motor. Steel vs Aluminum is not a big difference. It is just ashame the economy has really took its toll on the racing in the area. I can remember Challenger running on Saturdays getting full field and marion center doing the same. It is sad for racing in the future.

Would be great to have a series between Marion Center and Dog Hollow like they had years ago...think it was called "Coal Country Challenge" or something like that. Might inject some life into both tracks instead of being so separated.....would be advantageous for both.
Would cut down on travel and inject some life into both tracks, but would need some body to step up with some $$$$$$$$$$$.

I can't believe with a purse like that they wouldn't get more cars.

No tech, no sanction, and now you don't get paid for the heat.
No Lights, No Restrooms.....Well Then....They must of raised the payout for the feature ????? Maybe thats why there was no cars!

MC and DH domed themselves for crates. Rules changes (tires) at the last minute and terrible purse money for the guys from 5th back (normally the guys who need it).

I think Marion center ran a pretty good show. They didn't have to run but they worked hard to get it in with the way the weather was. Was it perfect? No but some people will complain about anything like a stuck up high school girl who always gets her way. I say kudos to Marion center for getting the show in and I expect to see more cars this week. See you Saturday.
