Jared Zimbardi scores career first Lernerville Feature win on Peoples TWP Night

Rex King Sr. makes it a hat trick for the family, then Russ Repeats

Peoples Natural Gas employee Jim Fosnaught wins

Sarver, PA (May 16, 2014)  Peoples TWP and Natural Gas brought almost 500 people to the Action Track for their annual Night at the Races and Jared Zimbardi thrilled the division sponsor with his first career Lernerville feature win.  Rex King Sr. became the third member of the King Family to win in as many weeks of Fab Four Racing with his feature win in the Diehl Mods and then his son Russ became the first repeat feature winner of 2014 in the Precise Late Models by holding off a hard-charging Jared Miley.  Jim Fosnaught, an employee of Peoples Natural Gas, scored an emotional feature win in the Pic-A-Part Sportsman to bring the night to a close.  Once again the Finest Race Fans in the World generously donated to help others in the community by way of the Dollar Energy Fund that helps the underprivileged heat their homes in the winter.  The Dollar Energy Auction raised $755, but with the matching dollar-for-dollar by Peoples TWP, that total jumps up to $1,510!

Mike.......He is running a 410 now, but still has several 360 engines.   He won at Sportsmans in 2005, but it is my guess there was a 360 under the hood at the time.  Still it would be a "410 win" as it was a "open" race.  Back in 1997 after Tri-City opened back up to 410 cars, there were a couple of guys who still won with 360s under the hood. Bobby Clark was probably one of them, but would have to check my records!!

GOOD RACING!!!

I like this Zimbardi kid. He's smooth and fast.

How about A.J. Flick? When he saw second place, he starting running Brandon and Jared down. Kid doesn't even have a dozen 410 starts. Too bad he made a rookie mistake there. It was going to become a  three car race for the lead. Hopefully he has all of his bad luck behind him this year.

I talked with A. J. after the race and he didn't try to make any excuses.  Just said it was his own fault.  This young driver is a class act and a credit to the two generations of Flicks that have raced before him!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

A.J was catching the leaders. Just a smidge too close to that tire. Great run for him.

Did anybody notice Pegher driving about 10 laps with his left front broke, turned hard left the whole time?

I had a feeling AJ was going to try to get by Sesko when he did. I noticed that LF of Pegher and thought I was seeing things. That was pretty damn impressive.
