Nice field of cars tonight at Lernerville, crowd still a little light, probably because of the weather.   Doug Eck (03) was involved in a horrendous crash in his heat race, one of the worst crashes I have ever seen.  He seemed to be all right as he walked to the ambulance to be checked out.   Mat Williamson (6) came from the 8th starting spot to win over Jeremiah Shingledecker (37) in the Big Block Mods.  Brian Swartzlander (83) dropped out early with apparent handling problems.  Mike Pegher Jr. (1C), from the 7th starting slot, won a hotly contested Late Model feature over John Garvin (J4) who led most of the race, Alex Ferree (10), Russ King (56), and Chub Frank (1*).   Danny Holtgraver (10H), after a slow start, went on to an easy win in the Sprint feature over Jack Sodeman Jr., (23), Brandon Matus (13), Eric Williams (7), and Carl Bowser (10).

Hung a hard right from the bottom of 3/4, didn't look like he lifted till it cleared the cushion, caught air and nosed square into the fence/top of the wall. Ended up on its lid.

Coulda shoulda went through the fence and into the crowd, bumper first.

It was not pretty.

This was my first time back at the track in a few years.

Can somebody please bring back some sprint cars?

Real ones, please.

56, CIII, 2L, 8B, 4, 9, 5GBG...

Man, that was bland.

LM race made the day, though. Good stuff right there.

Russ King got into Eck with his right rear quarter panel  (the damage to King's car was readily visible after the incident), sending the 03 hard right into the wall.

How can you call 14 sprints a nice field? Western Pa car counts are in big trouble.

They've had at least twenty every other week, and unlike you Central Pa. fans, while we love Sprint Cars, we also like fendered race cars and modifieds.

14 sprints is pretty sad!
