Yes that is what I was thinking sitting there last night, I kept waiting for him to turn on the afterburners and go to the lead but it never happened. In booms defense, the stupid # 7 lap car moved right in front of him at the last second and he had nowhere to go.. Shane was very fast the first part of the race, then his tires went away.  That Angelicchio kid is really fast and a good driver he deserved to win, congrats. ;)

Chub has been on a down slide the last couple of years for sure.  Some say because of the nasty wreck he was involved in or being hit with a rock in the face.  No one knows and Chub does not have to make excuses to anyone.

With Eldora's "World 100" and the DTWC along with many others on his win list, Chub's skill level as a SLM driver has never been in doubt in my mind.

Chub did not get the nickname "CHUBZILLA" for being a slouch on the race track and he remains one of my all time favorites.

As the "Legend" posted above, there was a time when he would have lapped the field.

It is still not too late for "CHUBZILLA" to turn things around and I wish him luck.

I was not there but I can imagine some of the conversation going on in the stands between some of the novice Dog Hollow fans.

It probably went something like this, "Well he's not so good" ................................

" IF THEY ONLY KNEW "

I believe chub still has it in him to dominate anywhere he goes, but my personal opinion is that he is lacking crew members, not to mention the dog requires a particular change in setup which i think he and boom lacked, having not run there often.

Really! Upset? Because Chub didn't win? Im sure he got paid for showing! Give credit where credit is due, its not about Chub or even Danny.

Its about Shawn McGarvey.

Bagley was 3rd!!!   Coming from 8th.  Could well have been a different race had Bagley started up front with Ferree & King!!

There's no tire testing at these weekly shows ... When one of these locals starts in the back at at firecracker and finishes high enough to have his tires tested let me know and I'll personally congratulate them

I did not see anywhere where someone was upset because Chub did not win.

What I did see were a few posts concerning Chub's slump the last few years and maybe a little curious as to why.

By no means did anyone forget why they were there.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shaun a few years back [ work related ] and he was one funny man.  The world was a better place with him in it for sure.

I could be wrong and correct me if I am, but I seen some where that Chub and Boom are sponsered by Horton Equipment and also sponsered Shaun some and they wanted them to make this race.  No show money..

If I am not quite sure about my facts I  try to let it be known.

I must have hit a nerve with this bezerk kid  that he got his or her diaper in a wad..

My best memory of sheetz.
me and my dad stop in to see sheetz at his shop on a Monday afternoon. I just won my first race at central pa speedway in the fwd four cylinder class the previous Friday. Sheetz looked at me and said wheres the newspaper. I was like huh? He said u better go buy a newspaper and come back. So I went and bought one. I was the main story in the sports. He was so happy for me. We ended up buying about 20 of them.

When I raced we ran thunder mountain and central pa speedway. My dad was my main sponsor and he wouldn't race anywhere else til sheetz talked him into it. Sheetz said" we dont build cars to sit in the garage when one track rains out u find another" after that we ended up at several other tracks.

Glad they had a good night of racing to remember him

It was 2 full years on tour and something like 58 provisionals and 20 DNQ . I'm not saying I could do any better I'm just saying insinuating he's a touring star is highly questionable at best. Barbra and Miley I agree could be top notch touring racers with enough backing

I would also ad the touring guys cars are in pristine condition because they don't beat and bang as they also don't tolerate it from others . If you race them like your in a d 10 dozer you'll be sent out of the park in short order
