There were many fast cars. I was really impressed with Shawn Fawcett in the #224. I don't think I had ever seen him race before, and I don't believe he had ever been to PPMS. Since he is from Albion, I assume he probably runs at Raceway 7 and Eriez. He was fast all night. Kudos to all involved for a great race.

Flash- you are correct, first trip to PPMS. Met him in the pits for the first time, super nice guy. I asked him what he thought of PPMS on Facebook and he told me "it was fast!!!!" haha.

That was a great race Vince! We had a great time. The race gets bigger and better every year. Brian did a great job on the track prep. I hated to see the W1 lap car destroy McDonald's car and put him through the fence. I didn't see what happened to Gearhart but at least those were the only 2 serious wrecks.

I agree.... I do the group qualifying to put the slower/newer guys in the back to be easier on equipment so stuff like that doesn't happen. But you can only do so much... I felt really bad for him and he was a nice guy who really enjoyed PPMS "while it lasted". But to your point- 47 guys were there, and only two wrecked. Track was fast all night long, crew did a great job repairing the pole and lights. Really happy where this event is headed.

Cleet- it's pretty tough on some of those cars to run more than 20 laps on a track that big. Most of the stuff is still stock, and the bigger motors tend to get hot. I think 17 laps was cool but too short. 20 seems right.

Thanks Danny- and thanks for those stickers. Funny thing is- I already was thinking about the ole Pennsboro days where they paid a bonus for longest distance traveled for the race!!
