They actually had 49 cars Total. Just 22 Sprints. Wayne County had 25 Saturday night for an All Star Show.

And Atomic had 37 that Saturday for a regular show, Not many drivers left out there that can complain about purses

The ALLSTARS just don't have it. Just pay good purses on specials and forget about the sanction fee. Rumor hS it Mercer was NOT pleased with Mr. Webbs series thier last time there.

And about 5 of them would have made the show at Wayne County. The last half of the feature and the b main would get lapped in the heat.

It is truly a shame that the All Stars are not what they should be. That could be a great series where drivers and teams could make nice money. The owner of this series only cares if he makes money and he does not care about his teams and drivers. They could have a great point fund for Ohio sprint speed week and attract 50-60 cars each race. This should be a regional series not traveling a WOO type schedule all over the country. These races over years have helped teams with smaller budgets win over larger teams. Example Mark Keegan over Kinser, David Harrison and numerous other examples.

The All Stars used to routinely outdraw the WoO in this area. All of the locals would still run All Star races. Heck, there was a Western PA Sprint Speedweek. 30+ cars showing up on Wednesday and thursday nights at Hickory and Challenger.

Western PA Speedweek was great.  You'd get some central PA cars tow over, Ohio cars and Western PA cars.  Great racing.  Hickory, Challenger, Sportsman's, Lernerville, Mercer, Sharon, PPMS.  A lot of fun back then.
