(New Castle, PA) The first doubleheader weekend for the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series is slated for this weekend as the series will run Friday night at Raceway 7 in Conneaut, Ohio in the Tom Weller Memorial Stock Car Race, then conclude Sunday, June 15th - Fathers Day at Eriez Speedway in Hammett, PA. “Hollywood Fabrication is the sponsor for extra cash for the registered drivers for this race. It’s a $500 to win race, or $700 if a series driver wins. In addition, Eriez Speedway is adding a $200 bonus for the highest finisher on a 2 Barrel Carburetor” noted series director Shaun Hooks. “In addition, should a series registered driver win at both Raceway 7 on Friday and Eriez on Sunday, they will earn an additional $200!” If any series driver should win both events this weekend, and be on either all Hoosier or American Racer Tires, they would pocket $1,900 cash plus two new tires!
The Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series debuted on May 31st at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway with an impressive field of 46 cars, including 19 registered series drivers, all vying for the 2014 season points championship which will pay out over $10,000 in point money, plus several thousands of dollars in valuable contingency awards. In addition to the cash prizes for the race, additional awards for the series competitors include cash for the first five feature finishers sponsored by Hollywood Fabrication, as noted above the highest series finisher will receive $200, followed by $100, $75, $50 and $25.
In addition, Crate Innovations will award an Accelerator Carb-1 Spacer to the 10th place series driver valued at $129.00. GM Roofing will award the $50.00 Hard Charger award; Wedge Motorsports the $50.00 Tough Luck Award and CD Gibbs Construction will present $50.00 to the Fast Time out of the Heat Races. Mid Atlantic Hoosier Racing Tire/Precise Racing will award a Hoosier tire to the highest finishing series driver who is on Hoosier tires, while Lias Racing Tire/American Racer will award an American Racer to the highest finishing series driver on American Racing Tires. The last series driver on the lead lap will earn a case of premium racing oil from Les Frickshun, Inc, and the first series non-qualifier will receive a rivet package from Cizmar Racing. 955 Automotive will award the 6th place series driver a RC2 Air Filter.
Eriez speedway is located at 9821 Sampson Road, just off Lake Pleasant Road in the town of Hammett, PA, 3 miles south of Interstate 90. Take Route 8 South from Interstate 90 Exit 29 and follow the signs starting in Hammett. Admission for all regular racing weekends is $12.00 for Adults, $10 for seniors, children 6 – 15 $6, under 6 free. In addition to the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series, all classes will again race with the Jay’s Auto Wrecking Super Late Models, the Bonnell Collision Center FASTRAK Late Models, the Plyler Overhead Door E-Mods, the Conway & O’Malley Limited Late Models and the Kandy’s Gentleman’s Club Challengers.
The Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series will feature at least 10 events located in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania at various tracks utilizing the tracks rules and format. Registered Drivers for the series will receive points towards the year end championship with a guaranteed $10,000 point fund.
