I just got Rfactor and was able to successfully download + install a few dirt mods. However, whenever I go to race at a dirt track that I have downloaded, the tracks do not load. The screen for the track appears but the loading bar never moves. On certain tracks, I will get an error message such as "error loading MAS Lernerville" or something of the like. I have put all of the tracks I downloaded into x86/rfactor/gamedata/locations. What am I doing wrong? The asphalt tracks that come with the game load and work perfectly fine. I am running windows 8.  Thanks

I'm not familiar with windows 8, but are you trying to run online or offline?

Are you using Rfactor or Rfactor Lite?

Does the download auto install or are you manually adding the files to folders? Sometimes when you run offline there is a pace car that will cause an error loading.

Offline. I have re installed it several times and still face the same problem. I am manually redirecting the files to the x86 folder, because they all want to go to the regular program files automatically. I am using the full download right off of the rfactor site, with help from media fire.

Are you downloading the DWD dirt mods?
Offline mods only work if the designer sets up the AI correctly and you can see errors if the AI isn't right.

Also, make sure you don't have duplicate folders within the Rfactor folder.

I figured it out, thanks so much. Within my gamedata/locations folder, there was another "gamedata" AND "locations" folder. Now, if i can just figure out how to set the damn cars up. LOL

Haha, yea.

What mod are you playing? I can probably help you out.
Are you using a wheel or controller?
