Alex Ferree and Carl Bowser score hat tricks before the fireworks

Dave Murdick outraces Rex King Jr. to Sheetz Victory Lane

Mark Sanders career first Pic-A-Part feature win

Sarver, PA (June 13, 2014)  Under a full moon, on Friday the 13th, our longtime and loyal friends from #1 Cochran Automotive helped us light up the sky with another rousing display of fireworks on Fan Appreciation Night.  Alex Ferree and Carl Bowser both scored come from behind feature wins in the Precise Lates and Peoples TWP Sprints respectively.  After the pyrotechnics and #1 Cochran Parade of Cars, Dave Murdick ran down and past Budweiser Points leader Rex King Jr. for his first win of the season.  Mark Sanders ended the festivities with his first career feature win after Mike Miller appeared to have one in the bag.  Next Friday are the Mid-Season Championships!

Who is this Altobelli guy? Did Dow say he was a Bedford or Bradford guy?  I thought for a minute maybe Dave Satterlee was back!

Good night for Chuck Sarver, his wife should sing the anthem more often.

Altobelli is a Bedford guy. Not sure but I believe this is a second generation driver and the father hang it up recently? Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

Your correct, the father still runs a race here and there. Jr. runs Bedford on Friday nights and Port Royal, Hagerstown and tracks down south Saturdays.

Altobelli, Jr. did a nice job, especially for his first trip to Lernerville.

Track was fast, and the racing was the best it has been this year, by far. Even their crew couldn't run all of the moisture out of the clay that Mother Nature put there during the week. Not like they didn't try, I'm sure. But, they did a great job of preparing a smooth surface.

Congratulations to Mark Sanders on his first career Lernerville Stock win. He has been real close, especially this year. Good clean driver.

As already mentioned, Mike Altobelli, Jr. is a second generation driver and a Bedford regular.  Finished second there just last week!!  Drove Ltd Lates for a number of years and usually ran up front on a regular basis.  An impressive first time visit to Lernerville!!   I will second the congratulations to Mark Sanders!!  Always good to see a new winner!!  And how about  A. J. Flick, heat race win in just two months of Sprint Car racing!!   Dad Mark and crew have no prior experience in setting up a Sprint Car and are learning as they go!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

Walt
