just got home from A.M.P a little while ago and the car count was horrible to say the least there were 9 street stocks and 10 latemodels and i am guessing there were 5 semi late models and around 9 or so pure stocks and 5   rush modifieds , fans are begining to make a rumble from what i hear that if the counts don't come back up it might be time to look at other places to go watch and i hate to hear that since it took so long to get this place back up and running the track is as smooth and nice ( from where i sit )as you could ever ask a dirt track to be but in my opinion when he cut the purse after the first week things have gone down hill ever since . now i know full well that you cant go broke just to keep the car counts up but all the hillside seating was sold out before the season started and that was money in the bank and half of them spots are sitting empty every week check out amp payout compared to hummingbird that is what louie has paid for years and it is spread out through the field .when amp was opened it is rumored that someone asked louie what he was going to do because he was losing cars and he responded by saying" don't worry they will be back ."what does everyone else think about any of this and don't bother bashing me i just want to know what everyone thinks  the problem is . i think raising the payout and burying the hatchet with guys you have kicked out might be a step in the right direction because every car you run off is money lost .and i can think of at least 6 cars that are not allowed back and that hurts everyone .

Agree he should
Pay 5000 to win and 500 to start every division till he lives under a bridge then just hang himself for trying to provide a place to race and watch racin .... Shame on him ...

cutting the payout did have an effect on car count who are the 6 cars not allowed back marion center has raised the payout from what i have read for the pure stocks  as i have said in the past tracks need to work together for thier common good and not cut each others throat and that is what is happening with changing the payouts what will happen to ndrl mcr when stateline reopens i am sure car counts will go down have heard that mcr maychange to friday nights but havent heard that from a reliable source from the track racing is in trouble locally and the tracks need to work together to have better fan and car counts

The birds car counts are stable. And rising in some divisions. Amp is a terrible track. There is no room to race no matter what anyone says. Its nose to tail and you see ppl win there that could never win at other tracks.

I feel bad for the owner... He seems to try hard. But as long as he owns that shit hole...he won't get any where. I wish he owned a different track.

I was all excited this year for AMP, Blose, Tannyhill and a few others were going to run a full season there and poof he cuts the payout and looses them. I don't know what is going to happen now that the cars aren't there, it won't be long before the fans quit coming. The only thing I can think of is to have a late model special to draw the fans back in..

i am  not going to say who is not allowed back there or i will be the next on the list, just look at last years  car counts and look at this years counts ....last year there was lots of promoting and ads  this year seems to be nothing ... and no jon(the legend ) i dont think he should pay 5000 dollars to win but when he  cut the purse he  lost cars and that is a fact.  if you can't look at the late model division and the semi late model division and see who is missing from clearfield then i don't know what to say along with at least two street stocks and 2 pure stocks one from clearfield and one from  houtzdale ( im think ) like i said before if you run cars and teams off you chase their fans away too and fans spend money .it is a shame with all the hard work and money put into the place the car counts are so bad. oh  john buddy  brady won the late models ....fuzzy fields won the street stocks ....nick erskine won the pure stocks and josh frantz won the front wheel drives cant remember the modified drivers name .

stands empty, hillside empty, pits empty...it doesn't look good at all....and i agree about the promoting...there used to be an ad every single week in the local paper and haven't seen one this whole year...i even asked one of the announcers and he said it would be in there and hasn't showed up...

I think right after he bought the place, Hesston, Thunder Valley, Dog Hollow, CNB raceway all became available. Too bad he wouldn't have bought one of them instead.

Is he still planning on making the track bigger?  I haven't made it up this year to see if they starting filling the area for the new turns one and two.  Personally, I'm looking forward the BOSS sprint show in July, I think that will be a great show on that track!
