Did they run the race program scheduled for the 14th?  If so, what are the results?

I saw on one of CNB's previous posts they listed a few drivers who they expected to be there. Travis Fisher was one of the late model drivers they had listed and looking at Jennerstowns results there was a travis fisher that finished 2nd in the late models, so im guessin no.

I didn't even bother going yesterday, and I love the track.  With Jennerstown running again on Saturday nights and very few local teams in this area, it is going to be very tough to get any cars.  As much as I like the asphalt late models, and the track,  there just isn't enough interest from fans and teams for this track.

Remember when the track was rented out to those Formula Ford teams? I don't know why they don't try to get into stuff like that...don't have to race cars there, there are motorcycles, snowmobiles in winter...have a Blue Grass festival, have a rock concert...I know this isin't racing, but it's money int he bank so that you can get other racing stuff going...

You have seven fingers on a hand?  That does say it all, Sue.  Yikes.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

He has that driving experience going on.  I suspected that was the main reason for buying the track in the first place - the actual racing was an experiment, but the pay-to-ride/drive would be the bread and butter.

How many of the "Driving Experiences" do they actually sell? Those Formula Ford guys loved it up there, and were going to come back, but the track closed soon after.

Rob posted on here a few weeks ago that any class that had less than 4 cars in it at the next race was DONE!!! It was in the drivers hands. He posted that on the track website also. Well, the drivers have spoken.

"IF we do not start at least 4 cars in the feature for a class, then that class WILL be Cancelled for the rest of 2014.
This is not a threat, it IS a cold hard FACT. The Track is NOT CLOSING, I will continue to run the driving experience and the ARCA and Super Cup specials.
Gentlemen, Your Fate this Year is in YOUR HANDS. I am not cancelling the class - YOU are with your actions or lack there of."
Sincerely,
Robert Hindt

Rob did run the race. He was in contact with the late model drivers before they arrived and routed them to J-town. I'll post up the SS and 4-cyl results.

Dan Henry (SS competitor from mid-90's to early 00's) won the SS race. Dan Hummel and Andy Watt were also there. Andy ran PS the first time it was paved in 85 if I recall correctly.

Management informed those who arrived that the field and attendance was slim. Admission was lowered to $5 and we certainly appreciate those who stayed.

more soon

Curious as to why he "rerouted" the LM's to Jennerstown? Not sure I understand this?

Out of courtesy. J-town already has a more established car and fan base. It gave the LM teams a chance to race against more than two other cars.

Rob is working with all of the other tracks in the area, whether they be dirt or asphalt.

Out of courtesy, Not sure I understand the logic, Rob  started with CNB last year and should have been building car counts, and Jennerstown just reopened this year for the first time in several years.

In 2013, they averaged 14 late models. That is not great, but it is typical of local racing. As of June 1 of 2014,the first and second place finishers (and possibly others) from the September 14, 2013 show had not been paid. That is 7 months. This year the late models aren't supporting the track.....hmmmmm...you figure it out.

Read on Glen Gault's page that he has not been paid from last year. Other drivers have been paid but not him and he was race winner. It went on to say track offered him tires until winnings were paid off but he wasn't interested. He goes on to say he will not bring his car to race until paid.
