Per a post on their FB page, the Bradford Speedway is going to close forever on June 28th, after 60 years, and a radio tower will be built there. Total shame that the idiotic promotional group that took the place over has caused its demise!!

I feel you're both correct....although I didn't go there much, I did enjoy an occasional trip there. Despite the place being very run down, the track itself usually had a good surface to it, & I saw some good racing there from time to time, including a pair of Patriot Sprint Tour races. It even hosted a Nascar Cup race back in the late 50's. & the place definitely could have survived, if those running it would have had a shred of competence!!

While he has a little way to go to the absolute worst, (like Bucky, Bruce, and KC), it just goes to show what happens when someone has little or no knowledge of racing, takes over a racetrack. I have to agree with Walt, it sure looks like this was all planned out, or at least the backup plan if the racing didn't go well.

Owner caused this. Self inflicted loss. You can't lie and cheat your way when dealing with people. Paying your racers is always a good business practice.
