i keep saying with a few tweaks to the rules one of these tracks could clean up on the streetstock /purestock class and it would hurt nobody but the guys who refuse to listen. A.M.P. is so close to running the old hidden valley streetstock rules it is sick look at their rules the only thing i would do in the purestock is put a weight disadvantage and a motor limit in the rules and let guys run having a rule like 8 inch wheels and 10 inch tires makes no sense when there are guys sitting at home with cars in their garage . just use the little guys nationals rules they seem to work .wide tire cars have to add 200 pounds or something .

MARION CENTER SPEEDWAY June 21, 2014
Marion Center Speedway had cars from far and wide coming in to race Saturday night for the regular five divisions plus there was the make up of the rained out May 17, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic Crate Late Model feature. The action on the track proved to be exciting with thrills and spills.
In the Lias Tire Super Late Model feature, Mike Blose thrilled the crowd as he swept the race from outside pole position start to checkered flag finish. But it wasn’t a pure clean sweep as he appeared to have a glitch in lap fifteen of the twenty-five lap feature going down the back stretch. The car seemed to bog down as if Mike may have missed a gear or the car misfired or something happened that momentarily caused Blose to lose the lead to Ken Schaltenbrand of Sarver. But Blose came right back with a show of power taking the lead back for good on the seventeenth lap and went to visit the Integra Racing Shocks Winner’s Circle. Another thrill in the feature happened on lap eleven when Chad Helman from Indiana started to slide in turn two and another car got under his side and the push sent Helman rolling over another car coming to rest on its own roof. Helman escaped serious injury in the wild ride but didn’t finish the feature with the damaged car. The incident also took out Clate Copeman and Andrew Gordon. At the finish line, Blose from New Bethlehem was the winner followed by Ken Schaltenbrand then Doug Glessner of Johnstown , Rod Phillips from Punxsutawney and John Myers of Blairsville. Then it was Billy Eash, Dennis Fenton, Dave Blazavich and Bill Burns. Copeman, Gordon and Helman then complete the field for the night. In the Lias Tire Super Late Model heat races the winners were Andrew Gordon and Mike Blose.
The Force Inc. Steel Block Limited Late Model feature was a clean sweep for Joe Petyak of Gallitzin tying Cheyenne Reed for the most wins this season for the division. Petyak started on the pole and stayed upfront the entire twenty-laps despite the pressure from Troy Swindell of Claysburg. Swindell kept close to make the race exciting but Petyak kept a lead to secure the victory. Swindell finished second and Zach Snyder from Mayport took third. Fourth place went to Cheyenne Reed of Punxsutawney and Gale Huey from Glen Campbell was fifth. Rounding out the top ten were Chris Schneider, Tom Shaffer, Jeff Weakland, Bernie Whiteford and Mike Williams. The Force Inc. Steel Block Limited Late Model heat races went to Joe Petyak also and Cheyenne Reed.
The Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic Crate Late Model make-up race from May 17 was run Saturday night and carried away by Andrew Satterlee. From Pole to Checkers, Satterlee took the entire feature in the front position never letting up and lapping cars as he went. Satterlee’s closest contender was Mike Laughard from Twin Rocks who hounded Satterlee through much of the race. Andrew Satterlee from Rochester Mills made the trip to the Integra Racing Shocks Winner’s Circle with Mike Laughard finishing in second and Josh Valenti of Clymer in third. Fourth place went to Joel Prosser of New Martinsville, WV and fellow West Virginian, Derek Rogers was fifth. Rounding out the nine car field was Corey Neal, Jeremy Adamik, Patrick Waugh and Cody Hummel.
In the regular night’s program for the Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic Crate Late Model feature, Derek Rogers from Spelter, WV was the vacuum sucking up all the laps to make the trip to the Integra Racing Shocks Winner’s Circle keeping Andrew Satterlee from back to back victories Saturday night. Satterlee may have been pushing the car too hard as he was coming around for lap ten and ended up in an incident on the track that was charged to him. Satterlee then had to go to the end of the line for the restart and work his way back through the pack. While Satterlee was doing just that, Rogers was keeping Mike Laughard from Twin Rocks behind him lap after lap. When the checkered flag came out Rogers was the winner with Laughard took second and Josh Valenti from Clymer was third. Fourth place went to Corey Neal of Trade City and Joel Prosser of New Martinsville, WV was fifth. Rounding out the field were Andrew Satterlee, Jeremy Adamik, Patrick Waugh and Cody Hummel. Andrew Satterlee won the Hoosier Crate division heat race.
Nate Smith of Glen Campbell did it three times before Saturday night and again on Saturday-thats win the W. G. Satterlee & Sons Street Stock feature. And as in the past he took all twenty laps in the lead to do it. Smith was followed across the line by Ray Hickok, Jr. from Commodore who was able to beat Smith once this season, but not Saturday. Hickok took second place to Smith and Eric Lingenfelter of Creekside finished third. Andy Burns from Johnstown was fourth and Luke Barnett from Mahaffey was fifth. Then came Matt Krause and Gary Furman, Jr. Not finishing the feature were John McCann and Brett Bingaman. Tim Bish and Bill Mumau did not start the feature. The W. G. Satterlee & Sons Street Stock heat races were won by Nate Smith and Eric Lingenfelter.
One after another leader of the Willow Farm Campground Strictly Stock feature dropped out of the race as if parting the waves for Chris Hickok to come through. Fred Casagni of Vandergrift started on the pole and took the early lead of the fifteen lap feature, but then went to the pits during a caution of the sixth lap for a flat tire. Casagni made his repair and back into the race but out the lead. That left the lead to Jon Lee of Mahaffey. Lee was running well and looked like he might end up in the Integra Racing Shocks Winner’s Circle but Nick Fulmer passed Lee and did take the lead for a lap but possibly pushed the car too much and it was reported that Fulmer blew the engine trying to keep the lead as Lee regained the front position on the next lap. Fulmer went to the pits after bringing out the caution leaving Lee in front, but then Lee went to the pits later with a reported flat tire. So the last few laps were taken over by Chris Hickok of Commodore who claimed the checkered flag for the win. Finishing second was Kenny Haight of Purchase Line and Jim Hamilton of Coalport was third. Fourth place went to Derek Buterbaugh from Indiana and Jim Hixson from Smithton was fifth. The top ten filled in with Rich Waltman, Jr. sixth then Dillon Smith, Ben Krause, Jon Lee and Ryan Caldwell. The winners of the Willow Farm Campground Strictly Stock heat races were Jon Lee and Ben Krause.
