your best bet would be to go to a track that is running them and shadow or talk to several teams. you will get a ton of info. there are ALOT of good eggs in the micro ranks that will gladly answer anything you want to know.

I've been involved in micros for 4 years now. The best way like you said is to shadow over someone for a while. I did that the first year with my buddy and shadowed over him. I raced the past 2 years and now im taking a break but looking for a car. you really have to understand the engines and jetting before you get into it because if you do one thing wrong with you're jetting or fuel system you'll be blowing up weekly. just take youre time learn about the cars and engines and you'll be okay.

Im looking for info on 270 micro sprints. Ive been considering buy one for a few months. Its very new to me and could someone possibly point me in a direction. What is the preferred chassis?
Give Wes a call at the number he posted. He is a great guy to talk to about racing a micro. Doesn't have a big budget, but gets the most out of his car,
