"100 laps of automobile racing are scheduled for the Sharon Speedway dirt track near Hartford, with entries received from Glenn Myers and Herb Vanges of Detriot, Bud Garringer of Phoenix, Woody Woodford of Los Angeles, Jiggs Yager of Shelbyville, Ind., and Bill Spear of Pittsburgh."
