Amazing!!!!  The lead in the Late Model points changed every day last week.  Never seen things change quite this quick in 40+ years of keeping the points!!

Thursday........Bloomquist finished 3rd in Lucas race at the Knob to move ahead of Darrell Lanigan by one point, 28 to 27.

Friday............Gregg Satterlee won a $4,000 race at Dog Hollow to move from a 5th place to first 30 to 28 over Bloomquist.

Saturday.......Robbie Blair picked up $5,800 at the Stateline's opening race to tie Satterlee at 30.

Sunday.........Blair finished third at Eriez to move a point ahead of Satterlee

Current top five as of 7/7/14

1.  w11  Robbie Blair   31 (5)

2.    22   Gregg Satterlee   30  (4)

3.      0   Scott Bloomquist   28  (0)

4.    29   Darrell Lanigan  27  (2)

5.   10   Alex Ferree   25  (6)

Garry Wiltrout, Matt Server, Jared Miley, Max Blair, Jeff Rine, Chub Frank and Mike Knight round out the top dozen.

Elsewhere in Cavalcade Points Rick Singleton pulled to an 11 point lead in the Limited Late Models after a RUSH touring series win at Sharon and 3rd at Lernerville. Dennis Lunger dropped to 4th behind Andrew Satterlee and Max Blair, who are now tied for 2nd, while Nate Smith pulled further away in the Stock Cars to an 13 point lead after winning his 11th and 12th races of the year.  He has the most in any class, with E-Mod driver Joel Watson second with 11 scores!!

Thanks Walt for the work you do , it's good to see that you still want to keep doing this every year. Walt where does Nate Smith run I am not familiar with him? I have been to every Little Guy Nationals but one and I don't remember seeing him at MRP , thanks again for all you do for the racing community.

He runs a track on Friday's that doesnt tech and where his dad is the tech man on Saturday's. Not real impressive running a late model against stock cars.

Nate Smith usually runs at dog hollow and Marion center. I don't remember him ever running little guys nationals. He did win the chili 50 last year at AMP

Nate Smith runs Dog Hollow and Marion Center.  He is undefeated in five races at Dog Hollow and has won 7 out of 10 at Marion Center. Personally, I have never seen him race as he seldom, if ever, leaves those two tracks.

He can't venture out. Since Marion Center and Dog Hollow have no rules he is illegal at any other track.

Just a plaque as the winner.  No money involved, just an honor as being the best in class on the western PA circuit that year.  Points cover the top seven classes in area racing.

Thanx!!

Walt
