July 10th 2014

Since the introduction of the Accelerator 1 carb spacer in 2013 it has been completely successful in short track competition, with constant wins and filling the top 5 positions at many events.

However, in the development of the Accelerator 1 carb spacer there was no "big" track testing, leaving some question as to the reaction with a long straightaway and large momentum type corner.

On Wednesday afternoon at the Trumbull County fair, the RUSH latemodels took to the huge 5/8 mile oval and proved that the Accelerator 1 is a benefit in "big" track competition.

The top 3 positions of the heat races were scored with competitors running the Accelerator 1 but more importantly the feature event had two of the original test cars (Max Blair 1st--Russell King 2nd) taking the win and runner-up positions.

In third would be Matt Latta a long time supporter of the development team for the spacer and fourth was Alan Dellinger also competing with the Accelerator 1 spacer atop his 604 powerplant.

Top 4 paying positions come to the finish line with the Accelerator 1 carb spacer.

Next would be Cody Dawson with a solid 7th place finish, agreat showing for the young man from Maryland as he continues to progress his program toward the front of the field

Nearing the top 10 from a last row starting position would be Eric Wilson who believes the Accelerator 1 carb spacer is great in all situations.

Dennis Lunger, Josh Double and Bill Stile were also running the Accelerator 1 carb spacer but suffered suspension failures from the high speeds of the 5/8 mile oval.

Accelerator 1 carb spacers can be purchased at:

Pace Performance, Race-1, Blackshear Racing Engines, Hendren Racing Engines, Stealth Racing Carburetors, High Gear Speed Shop, Close Racing Supply and 955 Automotive

Crate lates were never meant to be a budget class! They were meant to be a class where engine costs were much less and that they are. Yes I race them!

The logic presented here is: there is a causation to running this carb spacer and finishing well, when in reality, there is a correlation... only.

These are all well funded, experienced race teams with experienced drivers, well setup/maintained cars, that are top runners anywhere.... with  luck going their way. Better get youse one of these.... if you want to be competetive!  (based on the logic presented and implied )

To LM63, lower engine cost/crate racing = " budget" class.... -vs- open competition latemodel.

Can I get a like if you like?
