The FASTRAK Northeast Tour returns to action Sunday evening July 27th at the Eriez Speedway.  The 35 lap main event, will pay $1,200.00 to win.  The event may be dubbed as a "North Vs South" battle as the top stars of the FASTRAK Northeast's Weekly action travel north from their West Virginia home turf to battle the top FASTRAK competitors who proudly call Northwestern Pennsylvania their home.

"We certainly can't wait for this event and having the FASTRAK Northeast Tour come back to town at Eriez Speedway this weekend for our big show that we do every year for the little fans of racing. "Auto Racers for Kids Night" will be featuring: clowns, face painting, magicians, balloon artists, sand art, a Chinese Auction and lots of giveaways with the proceeds going to the Auto Racers For Kids Charity; add the FASTRAK Northeast Regional Touring Event and we are confident its going to be a great show."   "The FASTRAK weekly fields have to 18-20 cars on a weekly basis and I am so pleased with that., continued Rohrer.  "We are hoping for great weather on this weekend.  They are the most professional in the Northeast, that's why I remained with FASTRAK," concluded Rohrer.

Robbie Scott was victorious in the FASTRAK Northeast Touring event at the Tyler County Speedway earlier this year.  Current FASTRAK Northeast Region Weekly Points Leader Kyle Thomas scored the second position in the Tyler County event with T.J. Salango, John Over and Aaron Barley rounding out the top five.  Thomas' plans were uncertain at press time as the newlywed closed on a new home earlier this week; but if the MAKA Energy Solutions/Thomas and AJ Logging sponsored Rocket Chassis does make the tow to the Erie County oval he will certainly be challenging for the win.  Fellow West Virginia competitor Joel Prosser is also expected to the tow north.  Prosser, who has yet to garner a victory this season, has been challenging for the top spot in FASTRAK Northeast weekly action and would like nothing better than to score the win on Sunday.

Pennsylvania competitors George Kowatic and Bobby Rohrer are currently third and seventh respectively in the Northeast Tour standings.  Neither has visited victory lane yet this season but both would certainly enjoy scoring the $1,200.00 win this Sunday.

Max Blair will lead the strong field Eriez Speedway regulars into battle this Sunday.  Blair, a former FASTRAK National and Northeast Region Champion, has four Eriez FASTRAK victories to his credit thus far.  Matt Latta, veteran Scott Gurdak, defending divisional champion Chad Wright and Late Model ace Mike Knight have also been victorious at the Erie County oval this season and will do their best to score a hometown victory.  Second generation driver Kyle Zimmerman leads the divisional point standings at the speedway and will definitely give be looking to score the win as well.

Competitors are reminded that there is a $65.00 entry fee for the event. In addition, Raceceivers are required.  For additional information you can visit the speedway's website:www.eriez-speedway.com.  Eriez Speedway is located at 9821 Sampson Road, Erie, PA 16509.

Make your plans to attend the Auto Racers For Kids event this Sunday, July 27th, at the Eriez Speedway as the FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series "roars" back into action with an exciting "North vs South" 35 lap main event.
