Plan on going down at this point to this race. The entry fee is a little high but you cant beat the chance at 50000 with solid payback through field.

How much is tow money for lernervlle in the sprint car class? How much do they pay to win? What was tow money for the outlaw show at lernerville? Bet it wasnt 200. Will grant you the 500 dollars is a little pricey but thats the chance you take for 50000

$1000 just to get there and race with pit passes and parking spot.  Take $20,000 off the top and spread it out, at least get your entry money back if you start the feature. Have to win the other features just to even get your money back haha.

That is pretty good. I will give you that. However, from a karting perspective there are no fans in general to provide the extra money for the purses. DTWC gets Im sure alot of fans ( I have never been to that one) at 20 plus dollars a ticket Im sure. This one will draw some fans just because of the rediculous amount of money being payed out but not in general.

Only an idea, don't beat up the bearer of stupid thoughts.

The above was said in the advertisement for the race.
________________________

With being able to put more people in the stands to watch, could the format work at Lernerville for either a Sprint or Latemodel headliner event?

2000 X $20= $40,000

I would think Lernerville has more expense operating their track then the kart track in Kentucky.  Could Lernerville have a cut off of say 2000 spectators paying $20 to see the show, where it would at least cover expenses?  That would leave the racers still putting up a lot of cash to race.  But, could the gamble the racers make to race, then be extended for them to make it more attractive to show up and race.

Maybe Lernerville could hype it to the drivers as also a 50/50 race.  They would take half of all front gate ticket income beyond 2000($40,000) tickets and spread it about with the racers.

Or with the amount the racers are paying at the back gate, maybe even anything over 1000 tickets at $20 per ticket could be split 50/50?  Could it create a whole new way of funding big races?

Half of all tickets sold beyond 2000 could go towards additional pay back or towards increased tow money or in general reducing the entry cost equally for all racers.  It would be a big pay out race with the racers gambling on the purse and gambling on the real cost to race, against how big a crowd can be drawn.

More spectators would benefit both the track and the racers.  And the more the track and the racers hype up the race, the better it will be for both.  Could this idea be a win win situation for both track and racers, to even include the fans because of the quality show they would see?

_______________________

Then there is why can't we have para-mutual betting on races?  I have a distant relative who owns around 20 race horses.  Well no one really knows how many he owns,  but the family figures it's around 20.   We talked racing one day and all of our thoughts and ideas about racing were on the same page, until he asked "Can you bet on them?".  Our racing conversation then ended, because at that point, I realized not only was he on a higher rung of the racing ladder, he was so many steps up the ladder I could no longer see him.

Lets all just send $300 and send back a receipt for tax donation purposes! I don't care what they are racing, over 66% of the total purse is paid to one position, is a perfect recipe for losing money. Though they did name it correctly, INSANE ONE!!!!
