I don't race with either of them but I just watched the video and nothing about that accident was intentional from the way it appears.

Its seems like there is alot of complaining about Nate smith and as for him and ray hicock they are both tremendous drivers in my eyes and as for Nate having an illegal car is highly doubtful if anyone that pays attention to all the local drivers in the same class as ray and nate then take a look at the VSI cars of Feilds and Rhed both of those cars have the best of the best of equipment for the most part and they are somewhat decent driving abilities none of those cars have beat Nate yet and I don't believe that have beat ray either. I truly believe if you put ray and Nate in those two cars they would finish side by side pretty much every week and yes it was an unfortunate accident between Nate and ray over the weekend but shit happens in racing unfortunately as long as no one got seriously injured or killed that is all that truly matters. You can have the best equipment that money can buy but if you don't know how to tweak your car and read how your car reacts two the track co ditions and be able to put all that together and drive the hell out of the equipment like Nate does then your not gonna be able to dominate like he does. I am not putting ray down by no means.

I'm pretty sure one of those vsi cars was smoking both of them when this incident took place.

I just wasted 3 minutes of my life watching that video , all I seen is the 28 car was
For sure faster than the second place car but has zero finesse to " roll the bottom " but I don't see that wreck as intentional , the second place car blocked him relentlessly and he finally had a run on him .... That's not blatantly taking someone out

I do apologize bowtie29 I just got the opportunity to watch the video and yes it was a VSI car but that is the first time I have seen either one of the VSI cars beat either Ray or Nate

It was certainly some hard racing from what I saw in the video. I was far enough behind these guys that I didn't see how it all happend from a drivers view. I love how grt guy gets on here and says the Vsi cars haven't beat this car or that car. Chewy Rhed had the whole damn field covered and I don't believe that there was a car there that was gonna beat him in that feature lastnight. Bottom line is that the Vsi cars don't race there week in and week out and get a night here or there to find out what our cars like and don't like there. If our cars were racing there all the time I'm sure they would be up front from time to time too. And then he acts like Nate has junk or something!!! Give me a break!!!you don't win 17 features in one season with JUNK!!! I bet Mr Kline will like to see you comparing Nates car as something less than the best too our cars!!! By the way since when do you know what we have as far as parts go anyway!! You wouldn't have a clue!! There is some sort of rivalry at every track you go to!!! Nate and Ray have theirs and it's great for the sport and exciting to watch!!! Not the last lap they turned down the front stretch lastnight but probably most before that. I think in the heat of the moment we all as drivers think when the shit hits the fan that it's intentional but my opinion of the video is that it was racing(by the video) only Nate really knows!!! See you all some other time!!! Fuzzy!!!

I have no dog in the fight. I did get to read all the posts and watch the video. I will say this...Nate smith leaned on the 48 just about every lap...BUT. Wasn't dirty about it, for how hard they were racing, with that being said...Hickok (sp) was driving a smooth consistent line. Hard to pass a fast car like that. The 28 leaned on him coming out of 4 again they bumped and the 48 got out of shape...clipped the RR of smith and put him head on into the wall. None of that was intentional. Was it racing...yes, could it have been avoided? Maybe. But those two were driving hard and just got together. I am sure Nate smith didn't WANT that. He could have very well been the one going head on into the wall with that situation. Unfortunate....a good car just got tore up. I will say this on the side...smith gotta watch how many times you lean on someone like that...you'll get a bad reputation. It is ok to lose a couple races...can't win them all....

Even if Nate did not cause the flip specifically, he is still a knuckle head. He hit Ray multiple times while trying to passing him. His car is obviously superior to anything else in the area. But it is allowed because there are simple no tech rules at tracks like Marion Center and Dog Hollow. Either way, he has been the subject of many rough driving and wreck less posts on this board

I agree with Fuzzy it looked as hard racing to me! Nate did brush his rear quarter panel a few times but nothing to upset the 48 car when they did get together it was hard racing that's all it looked like to me

If by "far superior" you mean.... Getting smoked by a full straightaway, then yes I guess he is far superior. Someone stepped to the plate and beat him.... Next subject please.

I gotta agree with Legend on this one.  After watching the video, I don't see any of the harmful intent that the 28 was being accused of.  Looked like a great race, with an unfortunate ending.
