From Amp web page:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, multiple events through out the area will leave AMP without up 12-15 key employees, which is forcing us to cancel Saturdays racing program. We are considering rescheduling the event but that is not confirmed yet.
We will be running the Fourth Annual Connor Bobik Memorial on Sunday with gates opening at 3 and Racing at 6 pm

I'm really beginning to wonder about this place... hoping for there, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

There's a wedding Saturday & everybody is either in the wedding party or attending. A sad day for dirt track racing. The only thing for me that would come before racing is buck season.

Good for the Bird. Is sad that this is happening. I've sensed AMP was in trouble since they cut the purse.

So this wedding just came up today? They couldn't make it an off week or come up with alternative solutions months ago?

So you guys bitching should contact Mr Taylor and offer to work for the night, flipping burgers or whatever else he needs help with.

This may not be a bad deal; it should improve track conditions for Sunday; it definitely cant hurt.

It would be hard for some guys to drive a racecar and flip burgers at the same time

I guessing that most of the bitchers are not drivers

25% chance of rain Saturday night = racing not cancelled

100% chance of wedding Saturday night= racing cancelled

No need to fix my statement, my opinion is that the majority of those who are constantly bitching are not car owners or drivers, but instead "paying customers" as you have stated.  It just seems funny to me that those who have to shell out $20 for a regular pass and a burger and fries complain more thatn those who have a $10,000 car with a $15,000 driveline in it, who work on the car for 30 hours during the week, and then have to dump $100 in fuel in the fuel cell and mount up a couple of $150 a piece tires.

Yes, the sport needs fans just as much as it needs racers and car owners, what I'm getting at is that the negativity is making things twice as hard for the local tracks to survive.  So they aren't racing Saturday, then drive 28 miles to the west to Hummingbird, or drive 75 miles east on friday to Clinton Co., and be thankful that you haven't had to make that drive all year, and be glad your not the guy who has to tow that expesive racecar those extra miles. JMO

That is what the same thing I was thinking.  With a two day weekend scheduled, losing Saturday might not be such a bad thing.
