How can you open the tranny rule for the special? They had their cars committed to them all year, make the cars with Bert's add more weight, don't cater to them. They wanna win a grand make it bird legal!!!

The s.s. special at hummingbird will be hummingbird rules. They will be allowing gen 1 style bert trannys but with a 100 lbs added near middplate.

Why only gen1 Bert? Either allow them or don't. Why draw a line in the middle? And why does the rule only state "Bert trannys". How about brinn or falcon?

We were over Saturday at the Bird... And after a conversation in the pits... Somebody has put it in Hummingbirds head that a gen 2 Bert has some sort of quick change gear set up in it..

So they probably wouldn't know the difference anyway. I think a "tech" guy should be expected to know what he's looking at on a racecar. Does the same guy "tech" the late models there? Has he ever even seen a Bert? Or just heard about them on racestud and from random guys in the pits?

If you spend the money on a good lite weight thriple disc and a litened aluminum tranny the best if the best you'll have more in it than a used brinn. There was no hp diff on the chassis Dino and didn't notice anything on the track only diff it goes in the car without a fight

I hear the 3xxx of Doug Surra is putting on 10" tires and the bigger motor and racing in it. Could be a rumor.

But that 28N I'd a late model isn't it? I can tell by the body in the pictures I've seen.
