Lannigan has 11 wins and 24 top 5's in 27 races and most of those are seconds and thirds ... Lannigan can afford to lose one every now and then

I don't think anyone is trying to take anything away from lanigan. Just excited to see the local favorite snatch another win. He's made it where he belongs and folks are going to be proud of that.

Satterlee could rattle off ten wins in a row, and you'd find a way to bitch about it.  I'm sure Lanigan's thought process was: "I've got 11 wins in 27 races. I'll let someone else win tonight, but I'll make it look good." You don't win races at that rate with that kind of mindset. Now go ahead and post some smart ass comments about Satterlee's money (Lanigan must have a poor team), or the fact that he has Robbie Allen working for him, because everyone knows those are the only reasons he wins or runs up front.

Yes I honestly believe without a mega budget and Robbie Allen that Gregg Saterlee is no better than Jared Miley or any of the other talented regional guys around here. I have my opinion and you have yours

On some level I agree with you. Robbie Allen's setups turn pretty good drivers into great drivers. Look at guys who have had Robbie Allen's help and then haven't. It supports this theory.

Satterlee has the means to win, but there are a lot of guys that could do the same thing if they had the means to race at that level, There is way more undiscovered talent running around some of the local tracks than most people realize, It's like when they say about NASCAR drivers being the best drivers in the world, I think it's more like the guys that were in the position to run and get an opportunity to drive. Money talks in this sport, and the reality of it is that there only so much money to go around. The sad part is that it seems like when someone with money wants to get involved in racing they put their money into some a-hole that already has backing instead of trying to find some of the undiscovered talent that is out there.

Pops people with money to want to get involved want to win , and the best way is to go with the guys already winning. I don't see it as sad at all we should be happy when anyone is dumping money in our sport no
Matter where they are dumping it

you do have your opinion and it is usually wrong.  You come across as jealous of anyone who has success which is usually the sign of a loser.  Even if you should someday make a good point...you have no credibility.

I am just glad to see a local driver that's good enough with the desire and the means to race against the best like the lanigan and Owens and doing well and I am glad. It's better then wishing that someone around this area step up and see what happens. And come world 100 he will be one of the guys I will be rooting for!

Holy Makeral .... Eleven replies to my post about Gregg holding off Lanigan for the win and no one has blasted me for being such a overly zealous Gregg Satterlee fan.

Also would you believe I got my info from another source instead of getting it from
being in Delaware in person to see his win in person.

This seems to bother some people.

Margin of victory, .343 seconds I believe and Gregg was passed by Lanigan once and he
retook the lead on the next lap. [ sorry, I got my info from another forum ]

Money should not even be an issue when Gregg does well. I guess all the other
travelers who are doing well are stone broke.

Nice to see any local doing well.

Were was Mason Zeigler?

The difference is... If Gregg showed up a random night at lernerville and got beat by Miley, most would say "great job Miley" and not "Gregg didn't need that win anyway"

Just an example spun off his previous statement. I'm a Miley fan too. Love seeing all the good clean "local" talent do well.

I never said Satterlee was a better shoe than Jared Miley. The fact is that Gregg Satterlee was a big winner locally, much as Jared Miley and Alex Ferree are now, without the services of Robbie Allen. It appears to be your mission in life to discredit the kid any chance you get, whatever. If you want to keep grinding on the fact that he has one of the top SLM set-up guys in the business on his team, have at it. But just remember that the car isn't being remote controlled, and I think it is a bit of a reach to imply that anyone can win with him setting the car up.

The thing that the "great one" doesn't know is Gregg's father Gary is one heck of a set up guy who's set ups have taken his brother Dave and son Gregg to many victory lanes long before Robbie was involved.
