The officiating was less than stellar, also. I understand they made a decision to run the track in and race. In an effort not to piss off the locals, they wanted to get the show over with as quickly a possible. Fine. But they likely screwed Bob Egley out of a feature win because they made him pit to rip his spoiler off because it was dragging on the track. They routinely bend quarter panels and check for front suspension damage when someone stops. What the hell? I couldn't tell if that pissed the flagman off, or if it was the fact that his headset was malfunctioning. Either way, from then on, he was surly.

Thank you very much

The Legend's definitely got the right idea...

Sparkler, you have no idea what our race team has for our "numerous amounts of equipment"  If we had all this money and equipment, you would never see us racing local shows, we would love to travel a national tour or run an outlaw type schedule but we don't have that kinda money or operation so we just try to pick and choose, save our equipment so we are able to keep racing...

I would like to see the JMR in the #29!

I understand your thinking, it takes alot to run with the WOO or Lucas teams. And even tho you are successful running locally, it doesnt mean your competitive with those sanctions.

BUT, if everyone had the same availability to equipment (tires, chassis, etc) as JMR does, competition would be closer. I am not saying JMR wouldn't win, ( or that he is cheating) just others would be more competitive with his team.

I totally disagree. If I'm not mistaken, JMR has made every Firecracker and that is against the best in the business. Has finished in the top ten. I would say they are a smart race team and are competitive everywhere they go. That isn't money making those decisions.

They ran the Stocks first because theirs was the only points championship that wasn't decided. 18 cars started, and about 8 or nine finished. If you got above the groove exiting two, you were going over the hill. If you got too low around the bottom, mostly in one and two, you went around, then it took forever to get out. I don't know how many cautions their were, but the race had to take at least 45 minutes to complete.

I'm not bitching about the Stocks. In fact, it pissed me off because I heard some buzzard of a broad sitting near us say more than once that "this is why they run last every week." Bullshit. That track wasn't ready for anyone to race
***************************************************
First give Gary credit for getting the show in.
But the track was greasy, I had the same a$$holes bitchin about the sportsman.
The Sportsman Stocks put on the best show just about every week, they have good car count and tight racing.
The reason for the long race was the drivers could not see everyone ran out of tear offs in the first couple laps most of the cars pulled off because they could not see!!!

The first LM heat they had 4 cars and 4 or 5 cautions.

Crusty, I do give them credit for trying to get the show in. They just needed to run the track in some more before they started racing, that would have helped more than anything.

Most of the second half of the season, Lernerville was fast. Jared Miley was there most of those nights. If he was losing money running up front and winning, he wouldn't have been there if his budget was that tight. My take on it is that those are the conditions, deal with it.

They averaged probably between 18 and 22 SLM's for regular shows this year. A year in which the only cancellation was opening night. Not bad for a place that usually is fast and sometimes very fast. It shouldn't happen according to our resident board expert on all things SLM related, Huck. Going by his rationale, there should have been about a half dozen Supers there every week.

And Huck, as far as me liking fast conditions, you're damn right I do. I don't pay to see guys having to shut down halfway down the front chute. Whether you or JMR or Bloomer for that matter like it or not, I could care less. You have never raced there anyway, so what the hell do you care?
