Just read in Area Auto Racing article that quotes Jeff Taylor saying he will never run another race at AMP. He blames the fighting and bickering as the main reasons. If everything he says are true, I cannot see anyone ever wanting to promote a race there. One thing for sure is that he gives the area one big black eye. Only take a few to ruin things for others.
Taylor says never again at AMP

I have no knowledge of the actual situation at AMP as the track is around 100 miles from here and I have never been there. However, I do notice much more "fighting" back and forth on this board from members from that area than anywhere else, So maybe Taylor has a point?? Post about anything from AMP, Hummingbird, Marion Center or even Thunder Mountain, which isn't even running, and right away it becomes a "hot" topic!! Maybe you guys need to get together and try to help make things better in your part of western PA instead of calling each other and the promoters names all the time!!
GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

Sadly it's not just Jeff.. I've approached people for sponsorship in the area.. Business' here have a bad taste in their mouth for the junk that gets stirred up..
Asking for opinions here, no bashing... How do you change it and make things better??

The only fatal error he made was getting involved with that place at all.

Being from the Area of the above mentioned tracks.. It sucks, but it's true... I made light of some bitch one night by Hanging a banner on my car that said Cheaters.. There always seems to be drama of some sort.. One of my guys hardly goes to the races now, and pointed that as to the reason why.....

I talked to a 305 sprint driver and a late model owner who said their checks from AMP bounced. I also heard he never actually bought it, anyone else hear that? Seems the thing to do in Clearfield, make a half assed attempt to promote a track by an out of towner and drive them farther in the ground. lol

Biggest thing is DO NOT RACE ON SATURDAY NIGHTS......
Get an owner like Louie and the Potts that do what they want, when they want, and how they want and don't care if they pizz off a few people along the way. Sure looks like it works as there's not one track in the area that's been open under the same ownership as long as those two.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. This area can not support six tracks running within close proximity of each other every weekend.
The guy taking over Thunder Mountain or anyone planning on running either of the Clearfield tracks better think WAY OUT of the normal Western Pa. promoter mentality if they want any chance of success.

Totally agree! Every failed attempt at promoting the tracks in Clearfield seems eerily similar to previous failed attempts. Same format, same divisions, same problems. The only real difference this time was 305 sprints instead of small block mods, and the nights I was there, the 305s had the best car counts. Trying to include everyone isn't doing anyone any good.

That's the problem u did hear from JEFF.Had a check bounce from Amp. They paid me cash the next week I was there. Fees included. Last few weeks he paid only cash.. Although I did hear from Jeff, some drivers signed for cash for bad checks and then re deposited that same check. Who's classy here.??
Butt he did fix your family's track back up so you can go down and play when you want.
